  3. I made a new mod some time ago, and someone commented for a skyre patch. Is it necessary in my case? If so, is there a tutorial i can follow to make one?

I'd caress it to calm it down if i could. the MCM menu only shows the debug stats and nothing to do with actual bug fixing before hadvar it was the immersive battle team that turned on me... a 40 on 40 battle and 40 arrows fly at me;; and with the damage modded +100%, that's lethal even with the best armor

  7. i used to get flickering too. it's like skyrim is underwater or something. it was frequent especially with AMD users, and i think you can find a solid fix on google
  8. What makes LOOT superior to Boss? LOOT is newer, still in development, but has the same makers as BOSS. BOSS is simpler and is not yet so outdated and the long awaited masterlist updates are happening And the rotation is LOOT/TES5Edit to find incompatibilities/sort them manually/wrye/sum.jar, right? Assuming you are using NMM, the loop is Install mods via NMM -> Run BOSS -> Refresh NMM using the swirl button on the top right while recording which mods need to be cleaned -> Look through your list and manually adjust some positions according to the install instructions of the mod authors->Refresh one more time to register load order -> Load the entire thing through TES5Edit to check that it loads ok -> Exit then load TES5 again this time one by one, the mod that needs to be cleaned and the related master files Also, can I still keep using SkyRe but just disable the combat/AI mod? And what's SPERG/ACE and how do they work and what makes them stand out and more reliable? You could but given its such a script heavy game, the suddenly orphaned scripts would be fertile grounds for potential skyrim sorcery. SPERG and ACE don't overhaul the game compeltely, but adjusts factors while keeping the system vanilla. ACE especially is known for good compatibility with other mods, and most people who don't go for overhauls combine several combat mods (DUEL vs Deadly Combat vs That one other thing forgot name + ABT) with ACE and top it off with ASIS (this mod hands out the perks and spells you modded in to NPCs as well) to curtail it to their tastes more. Also, how does one cut down on using a mod like headtracking/enhanced blood/wet & cold? I love them all and I haven't read about any problems with them before, is there a lite version or? It's just papyrus can only script so much before it lags out. I was running deadly mutilation with a bunch of others and OBIS which scans a cell ten times every time i relocate and my games were a bunch of 1 hour runs. every now and then it would crash. Now that i've taken deadly mutilation out, and reduced the number of OBIS scans, the scripting is less and hence the system runs a little better, more responsive. Headtracking, EBT, and Wet&Cold you can keep. SkyRe, maybe go for Requiem or do a more modular install as mentioned earlier On a side note, I would recommend using this to simulate darker nights. Simply load it at the end. CoT just puts a black drape over everything, but with this one you can use them torches or lanterns and the surrounding is darkened but not the light sources, making a more realistic walk in the night. Combined with this and you've got NPCs who come at you with torches. Now about your load order In NMM on the plugins tab, on the left you will see two green arrows, a red circle with a line through it, a check mark, then two white thingies. Copy the below into a notepad, save it where you can find it easily, then use the lower one to import the adjusted load order. I went through it, switched it around to the best of my knowledge (mods that i dont use, i dont know but i tried). some mods were turned off because they were redundant. when you load, it will probably say there are missing things. and usually when you get that message on a load, you say no and start fresh because even if you turn it off, there will be traces or remnants of them mods in game. and frankly the save cleaners out there cannot help you, eventually the game will go foo bar.
  9. Huh Well in my frustration and knowing I needed to switch out a few mods, i just deleted all the saves and started fresh. Ah the sweet stability of a new fresh start just lovely. except when i was crashing at the start whenever i changed genders...that wasn't fun
  10. so i just started a new game yesterday, reached level 30 playing today, and i decided to start the civil war line. fort hraggstar was easy, and then i went on to korvajund where hadvar kept attacking me on sight i tried every single console command that i could, including the ones on the CWO page but nothing worked. must i start a new game..again???

  14. I do have it to change stats when you convert but yea i agree it is a sorta "cheat" in a way I don't think scenery conflict; you might overwrite with another but not necessarily conflict i think
  15. I know I hate it when it does that for me too . But then restarting only takes two minutes or so and with the graphics going heywire, yea it's just easier to restart the game every now and then I'm not sure how to fix this...have you: 1. optimized texture using ddsopt or optimizer texture? 2. no background programs running? 3. Try increasing the UpdateTimeMS, Update and ExtraTasklet budgets for Papyrus in Skyrim.ini but not the other settings What i'm learning more and more is more does not mean better with skyrim. i might suggest merging plugins but i don't think it'll help...(but then it also means you are running fewer ESPs so i don't know) try to reduce or use mods that give minimal pressure to the game, maybe that will help. I've spewed out as much as i know, take it with a bucket of salt as the tips go regarding internet advices, and if have room i would like to gently request you try out my mod in the meantime :laugh: (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54277/?)
  16. To clarify even more, steam initially connects to the internet to check for updates, and will download and update the client if possible. This is a option that cannot be turned off. But after that you will get a messagebox asking whether to go online or start offline, and if you choose offline here there won't be updates (but skyrim has finished its official updates so unless you have other steam games as well it should be ok to keep it online) I would like to suggest this (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54277/?) To put it short, it lets you convert aany armor to other types so you don't have to give up looks for playstyle
  17. After you grab a few retexture or alternate armors, try this (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54277/?) It let's you transmogrify the armors so you can have heavy looking armor that actually work as light armor

If it is a mod conflict you can tell because there will be CTDs at specific places/moments/times If it's a problem with lack of memory, you wouldn't last 2 hours (i used to run on a 32bit and i remember having CTD almost like clockwork every hour or so and so i'd have to restart) I believe you started a new game after updating all of them. What i found with my rig was that after 4 hours of playing, I would either get random CTD or meshes would start turning purple and so on from running 254 mods. It must really stresses the system. Not knowing your specs, I'd say that's about when the computer is tired of running all them mods and stuff. just take it in a good way, stretch, relax your eyes, grab a coffee, go walk a bit, and realize that tamriel isn't really that far away

Steel Armor Steel Armor + Ingot = Steel Armor Light = Steel Armor Clothe Steel Armor Light +3 Ingot = Steel Armor (Original) +1 Ingot = Steel Armor Clothe So the questions is: 1. Is having the option to convert back to heavy after you've made a light version useful or redundant feature that just puts more recipe in the screen? 2. Do you, or would you use the option to convert back and forth? 3. Do you prefer this or having a system where you can convert only to the opposite charateristic or Clothe, but no option to turn back to original? Thank you for your time!

  21. I want to make a specific esp patch that adds additional recipes for custom armors for my mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54277/?) Do i just go into CK, adjust a few things, save it as a new esp and have users load it after the main file?
