  1. Which settlement are your reffering? Have you build Sim-Settlement plots there? (I have currently also some issues with crashes in some settlements, that may be related to sim-settlements, but i havent found out yet, what plot its causing it) "AWARHERO The Great Green" Jewel has been removed from nexus by staff, for unknown reasons. Maybe there are problems. Have you run loot to sort your mods?
  2. The message of shutting down an application ist standard. Some program wasnt shutting down as fast as windows was expecting. But because you wasnt able to read it, because it disappeared, the "problem" solved all by itself. There is no reason to worry here.
  3. Unfortunatle everthing i would say, can work, but dont have to. Fallouts engine is so badly optimized for PC, a tweak works fine on one computer, and on the other it makes things worse. So, everone who claims to have the one solution fixing it all, lies. Maybe not intentionally, but nevertheless. If its not running well, you have to experiment all by yourself. Sorry to tell.
  4. If its really slow, and you dont use a SSD as hard drive, maybe you should try to defrag that partition. Fallouts engine is way to finicking when it comes to "hey i want that data NOW NOW NOW" and then its some kind of offended not getting its "will".
  5. Why the **** is nearly every second modder filming the mods preview at night? Yes, there are some mods, filming at night makes sense. (Lighting mods for example). But if you make a mod, introducing a building or so, you dont see anything, because.... its dark. Whats wrong with people? FO4 is Fallout, not "Alone in the dark". If you do all the work, creating a mod, uploading it on Nexus, to share it with the world, and then the preview is worse than no preview at all. (The same goes for screenshots) Please folks. Take the 2 minutes to wait for daylight, or use console. We want to see, what a wonderful whatever you created, before downloading and testing for ourselves. Advertising is everything, even if its "only" a tiny mod.
  6. First thing first. If your computer freezes to death, it could be hardware.related. So first make sure, your computer is okay. For example, if other games from the same hard-drive run smooth and fine, you may proceed. Second: Let Steam verify your game files. FO4 is know to kill something without reason. And then: move the last savegame to another location and test again. Its a know problem, that corrupt savegames cause startup problems.
  7. No it should not indeed. But bugs happen... Okay, you tried the patch, and no result. Thats bad, and i dont know how to proceed from there, sorry.
  8. I dont know if there is real quest, but i remember seeing the "quest-text" buy a house from geneva popping up on the left upper corner sometimes. But i dont know, to what its related, nor the id.
  9. Odd indeed... The bug seems to be in the scropting-engine. The first command seems to be in a loop (draw weapon, draw weapon, draw weapon.....) But you allready had killed everything, reinstalled and so on, so there should be nothing interfering with the game. So the conclusion is, there is something wrong with the game itself. But: You say, no mods at all. Really NO mods? What about the unofficial FO4 patch? And if you use it, what version? The ALL-CLD version? Or the old, no longer supported main-game version?
  10. The map marker only appears, if you finish the related quest (buy a house in diamond city i guess). Somehow you managed to get Geneva to sell you the homeplate, withtout the quest it think. First would be to check, if the quest is still active. If so, manage it via console and setstage command to finish. That should solve it. If not already triggered, you may take a look at console commands to force a quest to start, and go on from there.
  11. I have something similar but with the Automatron-DLC. The first location you are send with ADA misses lots of textures, Holes in walls and floors and lots of lag. Okay, no big thing, because i always rush through (Jetpack and go) killing the Bot, and back to the exit. But its annoying. Hardware ist fine, and its also not v-sync related (testet it both ways). And its the very only location in the game causing that problems. Would be nice to know, if theres another solution.
  12. You have to run your mod-manager as admin. Otherwise the files are there, but with wrong permissions, and FO4 ignores them in the process. As a matter of fact, you should run your mod-manager always in admin-mode, not only if some mod is not working and you notice. Every mod can make problems, and its really annoying, if you recognize that after hours of gameplay, ruining that turn.
  13. First: Your computer is fine, no worriers there. Dont let others tell you otherwise. (but dont install FO4 on your 1TB Harddrive, it will run for sure, but with only 5400rpm loading times would be huge) For every other needs: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/102/? Try the recommended settings from the creator, and from there on, play with it, until it suits your needs. And yes, use that tool also as launcher. The default FO4-Launcher is crap as hell. And before using reshade and co, you should get your game running smoothly. Reshade can have a big impact.
  14. In response to post #54671943. Maintaining 2 Designs is a waste of time, because its work, that wont repay in any way. So, the old design will perish some day. And yeah, its always hard to change to something different, and leaving style, used, and attached to, behind. And yes, the new design looks... boring? Just another flat, tile-design, as seen on nearly every other crap-site in the internet the last 2 years. But i must admit, the primary function of a mod-page is to deliver info. And they come in form of pictures most of the time. You may explain, what your armor-mod does, how it looks, and where are the belt is attached... but no one will really imagine int. Put a picture on it, and kabooom. And thats, what this design is made for. Personally, i would had made some stuff the other way. But i´m not in charge. If have to, and i can, live with that.
  15. @Jimmy, yes i read about that nearly 2 months after release. The mod i posted was just something i found quickly. I also never run into that bug myself. But we all know, bethesda-games are sometimes really wierd. Install a game on 2 identical rigs, and one causes problems, the other runs fine.
  16. The dark robots bug is as old as FO4 itself. Some mod messes up the model, and even uninstalling wont revert the effect. You may try https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/27366/? Other solution could be letting steam verify the game files.
  17. There is an eplanation for the behavior of this units: They have a) default fallback inventory, and yes that can be removed, but it has to be made one by one, and not by the faction list. b) thats a triggered event, and maybe bethesda gives gavil his minigun back, because they wanted to have him one at this point. So its script-spawned, and there is no way to prevent it from doing so, but to change the mission-scripts (which could leave you with a broken quest) The Question here would be, whats he wearing after the mission? The knife is also explainable: Every unit has some kind of melee-weapon. If something happens to the ranged weapon (broken, lost, stolen, out of ammo) they fall back to the knife/baton/axe/hammer.... So something ist wrong with your soldiers rifle. Maybe the knife is better compared to the rifle (legendary killer-knife of heavy doomsday elite glowing deathclaw one hit killer) and he chooses to use that instead of the pling-pling-toy rifle. And yes, the pick up abandoned weapons from ground/containers, if availlable.
  18. Do you use any kind of mod manipulating settlements? I remember reading about some settlement-expansions, messing around with static objects, causing your character to no longer be able to sprint or sleep. Something messes up the sanctuary cell pretty much.
  19. You can try, but the worst case szenario will be, that your save is already lost beyond redemption. If something messes settlements up, it wont be repaired by uninstalling the mod causing it.
  20. Looking at your mod-list, it seems very random at all. Is that the list AFTER Loot has sorted the list? Especially AWKCR near to the end seems odd. And horizon, have you even run it with that mod-set before? That mod changes so much, and not every other mod is patched to work with it.
  21. Its not a bad idea per default. But dont merge them all at once. Make a merge of 2, try, merge another (make backup of the old merge) and so on. Clothiing mods for example will die sometimes when merged, because something changes. You can merge a lot, but not everything. But because there´s no official list, you have to run trial and error.
  22. 1. Run your mod manager with admin rights. 2. Run Bodyslide from within that manager. If you use Mod-Organizier, it uses a virtual file system, which can not be accessed by bodyslide, if not run from Mod-Organizer. 3. Install every mod with admin rights. Otherwise the files will be in place, but with wrong permissions, and can not be accesses properly. If you´ve done all this, and the problem persists, reinstall the clothing mods. Something may be messed up. If this wont solve it, delete Bodyslide completly, an reinstall Bodyslide again with admin rights.
  23. What makes you think, the CPU wont suffice? There are plenty of people who run FO4 with much inferiror CPUs. K, forget that... wrong reading on my side... You wrote GPU not CPU (i hate the font /coloring in this forum)
  24. CPU is fine. No Question here. RAM could be a little low, resulting in huge loading times, but after that, it should run good. If possible you should take a look, if you can install another 8GB of RAM onto your board. Wont cost much, but makes a huge difference. For the GPU... this will be the real issue here. It also depends on what model you actually have. There are some types with only 512MB RAM. The Chip itselt will be suffice, but the lack of memory could hit you hard. Given that, upgrade your RAM to 16GB, and try ENB-Boost. I run FO4 with an old Nvidia 450GTS with ENB-Boost just fine. (1600x900 high to ultra settings) Another option would be to replace the GPU with something more powerful. That should cost around a 100 bucks, and would be really enough to play FO4.
