  1. That was a beautiful response. Very nice. I also wish you good luck on that mod idea of yours. Now that you brought it up, it would be a great addition. The only problem is you may have to edit EVERY light source, and that would be a pain... Also, good luck OP on your idea.
  2. There is really no difference in Skyrim Legendary Edition. The mods will work on that as they do on the base game with all the DLCs. If you were able to mod Oblivion and Morrowind fine, then Skyrim will be a breeze. Just pay attention to load order and compatibilities. Renn already covered everything you need in his post.
  3. I agree with you completely. Maybe a later game will center around Dwemer and take place in the past. Then we can have a steampunk game. That is the thing about the Elder Scrolls Lore. Bethesda designed it so it has elements of every trend people like. When steampunk is popular, they can make a Dwemer game, when samurai stuff is popular, they can make an Akavir game, and so on. The lore is VERY adaptable, but I don't think we will ever see a super modern skyscrapers, cars, and guns TES game. That's maybe why Bethesda bought Fallout. If you want a modern Elder Scrolls game, then play Fallout 3, New Vegas, or Fallout 4 when it comes out. Everyone must agree that the games are really similar except in completely different environments. Similar mechanics, similar AI, same engine, but with guns and modern stuff.
  4. But The Elder Scrolls has things like horse and carriages, medieval style houses and castles, that have been in THIS world.... swords .... that were also used in this world in the Medieval times amongst other things. Why didn't they go all out and invent some weird architecture never found in this world and other weird looking things.....I think they did this so we could relate to an extent to the world Why can't they do the pirates thing (which isn't that much further from Medieval anyway) and mix all that with the fictional magic, daedric princes, etc...... like they mixed the Medieval and Roman style things (which were real) with the magic, daedra and dragons? And I am not talking machine guns..... but pirate guns, cannons, etc There are already pirate themed things in Elder Scrolls. Hammerfell has a lot of pirate lore. Look at The Elder Scrolls Adventure: Redguard. It takes place in an island in Hammerfell with ships, pirates, cutlasses, etc. You don't need guns for there to be pirates. Do some research. There have been pirates as far back as boats were invented. Romans told many stories of pirates. Vikings were pirates/marauders. This is all hundreds or years before gunpowder was introduced to the Europeans. Also, to all the people saying that things in the real world have nothing to do with Tamriel, you are wrong. Ken Rolston, one of the lead designers of Morrowind and the Elder Scrolls lore had a rule: "Everything must be a metaphor". This means that EVERYTHING in the game worlds must correspond with something in the real world. Things must be familiar so it is more believable. Things must be realistic. Think about it. If Tamriel was not based on Earth, it would be completely different. Who's to say that trees, grass, and humanoids would exist? The universes are EXTREMELY similar. The only major difference is the presence of the supernatural, (and before you say dragons aren't real, if you think about it, they are just animals. T-rex (a giant reptile dragon like creature) existed on earth in real life. So, dragons are not too far off, (aside from the fire breathing, but that again falls under the supernatural category.)). I am not saying that they would ever make a modern Elder Scrolls game however. Like a previous poster stated, When the Dwemer had a Renaissance of technology, the gods punished them implying that the supernatural wants Nirn to always stay in the "Dark Ages". This is obviously the way Bethesda wants it, like Renn said. Just my opinions.
  5. I'm sorry but I don't get your post at all. You jump from idea to idea contradicting and repeating yourself constantly. Is English your second language? I'm not saying this to be mean, but no modder it going to be able to figure out what the request is for.
  6. There used to be a mod hat adds suits, but I think the file was removed... It might have been a port of compyright material or something.
  7. You cannot just make/craft a plant or mushroom... It really wouldn't make much sense. Can't you just find all the ingredients you need or use console commands to get them if you need them?
  8. It's not really a question of how difficult it is, it's just that there are not many people who want to do it. Also, voiced followers take time and effort to write and produce all the dialogue, along with cat models, AI, spells, etc. Sorry. I was hoping you would be happy with just the Pets of Skyrim cat followers... Good Luck.
  9. Nice thread necro. Porting content from other games, whether it be models, audio, or whatever else is illegal and against the rules of the Nexus. Even taking sounds from a youtube video and putting it in is still porting. You can remake the whole follower with your own voice and own model, but porting is strictly against the rules, especially from a PS3 exclusive game.
  10. This mod includes a spell that entangles an enemy so they cannot move. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37665/? It also has a lot of other spells and abilities.
  11. so bascially he wants super-eyelander. I can probably do the glowing eyes effect but the heat vision and xray vision, idk bout that. I got a final in two days tho so do not expect anything soon. I don't think he said anything about abilities. That was just my guess. He clarified that he wants just a visual effect. I think...

  13. You cannot convert a mod without the mod author's permission.
  14. If you read the OP and followed the links, you would know it was for "clocks", not "cloaks". Like to tell time. I read it as "cloaks" the first time too.
  15. I just wanted to show you that mod encase you were interested. I know it is not exactly what you asked for, but it is similar. I do not think Alfiq's were ever in any game, and I am aware of the Lore behind them. In The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, there were house cats in cities and towns. I'm sorry, I am just trying to help.
  16. This mod adds house cat followers, along with dogs and bunnies. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17424/? There are separate files if you only want the cats. Hope this helps.
  17. I think the problem is that these accents are hard for many American modder's to make. We hear British accents a lot and therefore since it is more common, it is easier to replicate than a Scandinavian one. So I am sure that many people just settle on it thinking that it will sound fine and fit the game. That, or they many modder's just don't even realize that it isn't a British accent. I look highly on mods with quality voice acting with accurate accents.
  18. I remember seeing a mod that makes mannequins clones of the player. Would that work for you? I don't remember the mod name, but I do know that Brodual mentioned it in one of his videos. I can look if you want.
  19. I am not trolling at all.... I for one use a lot of MOD's for Skyrim Buty I just wondered.... as sometimes when I play the game with MOD's I wonder if I should be feeling guilty or not : ) Have you read any of the posts? Bethesda themselves released the modding tools. Bethesda is the company who made Skyrim. Bethesda released tutorials and videos showing how to mod your game. Bethesda partnered with Steam Workshop to help people get their mods to the public. I think they allow it if they gave people so many tools to use. This thread is nonsense!
  20. Your Steam hours is tied to you Steam account. As long as you use the same account, the hours, like the saves, will be there. If you used a different account however, you will not be able to retrieve hours from a different account and will need to idle for 15 hours. The computer has nothing to do it.
  21. Sounds like a good idea. It doesn't really make sense that you can steal crops with no penalty. This mod can help. It turns farmers into vendor who sell their produce. That way you can buy it from them and just choose not to pick/steal their crops. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38470/? The author also made smart decisions of who sells what. Hope this helped!
  22. I do understand that SKSE expands the scriping possibilities quite a lot. I was referring to a method, used in the vanilla game: decapitation with a killmove. As I read around the forums, it seems that the decap animation is done on a dummy, while the real one gets equiped with a decap head helmet and a prop of a head gets spawned. I simply would like someone to design and animate such kllmoves with other body parts. I can't really do it myself, as I suck and 3D modeling and animation.I still do not see a reason why anyone would waste their time remaking a huge mod that already exists just for one person. I know you don't want me to ask, but seriously, why are you so unwilling to use SKSE? Firstly, it breaks my mods. I know people say it's impossible, but it does. I used a basic needs mod (outdated, yet still working). I haven't had any problems with it until I installed SKSE. Poof, none of the mod scripts work, the troubleshooting tools don't offer any help either. Some other mods also started having various glitches. I uninstall SKSE, loaded a previous save, poof and everything's back to nomal. It probably has something to do with the mod itself, however it was the first mod I've installed and the first one for a reason. Every time I install a mod I make sure it is lore friendly. I am a big fan of the TES games for quite some time and I am a fan of the lore of those games, trying to keep it true to it rather than adding mods which even by a slight bit break it. The second reason is a bit cheesy and might sound stupid, but it just doesn't feel the same when playing it. I don't know why, but it doesn't. Besides, what I'm requesting isn't a remake: I'm not asking for real-time combat dismemberment, I am requesting a mod that adds dismemberment killmoves for other body parts, besides the head. Well, I am sure you've heard this many times before, but there are literally THOUSANDS of people using SKSE right now with no problem. Are you sure you are not doing something wrong with installation, load order, etc? All I'm saying is that there is a mod(Deadly Mutilation) that does EXACTLY what you want. Take it or leave it. What you want is a remake because everything you describe is already in a mod.
  23. Yeah, it would probably be hard to make it look like her without a custom head mesh(not sure if possible) with stylized eyes and such to fit the manga art style. I've seen similar things before.
