  1. I know its hard to find good priced hardware atm, but would skip ibuypower, the quality is kinda meh and the hardware u got is not top notch. Mostly low/mid-end gigabyte mobo (which suffers from stuff like coilwhine etc) combined with a cheap psu. It will not blow up, but eh, skip the brand ibuypower. Cablemanagment is also hit and miss sometimes. The only good thing is the i5 10th gen. 240GB SDD & 1TB HDD is kinda outdated. These Days I would go with min. 500GB SSD. If u want a Data Storage/Backup HDD, u can add a larger HDD later (like wd gold or so) And on the long run, yes more ram. Anyway, maybe you can tell us your Budget, maybe we can find a better on.
  2. Since it wasnt mentioned, have u tried to restart the modem/router? Also possible worth a try to update the modem/router os (if u can). Or any AntiVir that may block it? Also worth a try to un- and clean reinstall the network driver.
  3. Since u want the highest quality. Aim for the Sennheiser Epos GSP 670 (bluetooth dongle included). I'm currently using a wired GSP and also have a wireless RS 185. Quality and Sound is amazing, IMO Sennheiser is worth every penny if u want high-end and care about sound. Beyerdynamic and AKG are good too, but not sure atm if they have any bluetooth headsets.
  4. In-place by using a w10 home iso with the same build or higher. (windows 10 will auto mount it as dvd, so u just have to run the setup). When asked, keep your files, do not perform a clean install. It's worth a try.
  5. Yeah, I hear you. Following the Freedom Trail I dropped to 15 to 20 fps. But, load times are a breath of fresh air. And no crashes due to the GPU being unable to render the frames in time. That's progress of a kind. I would have liked a 6900XT, but my financial status didn't allow such luxury. My hopes are set on EuroMillions, the European lottery. Which means I'll be using the 6800XT for a wee while still... Yea the prices are beyond everyrthing, rly sucks to upgrade at the moment. But yes, its way more enjoyable with faster loading times, back in the days I had Skyrim on a wd gold, which was fine, but a ssd changed alot :D Yeah, I hear you. Well, for what it is worth, the new screenshots you've posted recently look great. If u mean me, thank you ^-^ True! Bethesdas engine is indeed more on cpu. Same story here, from msi ti to ti, not a big change, but the swap from 6600k to 9700k was way more noticeable. The Havok enging is a rly strange mess.
  6. Possible a big temp folder. hit win + r and type %localappdata% , hit enter and aim for AppData\Local\Temp. And remove the stuff inside the temp folder (and also the bin afterwards). Maybe your temp is full, empty the folder can free up space. You can also check c if u have an "windows old" folder (when upgraded to w10 from an older os). Also worth a try to run "disk cleanup" on c. to remove old updates and thigns like that. Other method the little tool "treesize" it can detect easily huge files and will show you where those are located. But would start with the temp folder.
  7. No 3080 but, I switched from 1080 ti, to 2080 ti to 3090 and still had/have drops in some areas like boston. I could reduce the drops a bit by lowering shadow distance and godrays. Loading times are okay so far, but the drops are annyoing.
  8. The msi has rattle noises and gigabyte's efficieny in low areas arent good and can be rly noisy under load.. As much as i know the gigabyte is made by meic a ac adapter brand and more or less new to psu. Msi possible cwt, they can build good units. Anyway nay. Would grab a trusty Seasonic instead. Focus or the new gx/px series. No rebrand, rly solid quality and damn nice quite fans.
  9. Hhhmm... Good lookin' boxes, but, they don't appear to sell them here in the US. Amazon has some for sata and m2, even from icy box and usb-c. I didn't see icy box as an option there...... I must not be looking hard enough. :D Well I just typed icy box enclosure in the search bar  But for some strange reason, isn't listed as brand :psyduck: Example, typ-c version. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q8KTCCM/ Or with esata and usb Amazon.com: MiniPro External 2.5-inch eSATA, USB-C External Hard Drive Enclosure: Computers & Accessories

  11. As pointed out, let the os and apps stick to the m2 and put your games on a sata or external ssd (: Ram alone wont improve the fps that much, atleast in a noticeble area, But nice to have while playing with mods and stuff. To the sata ssd, I doubt u need a cable, sata port should be on the notebook mainboard, on the other hand, since this notebook has usb-c i would also take a look at external ssd's like the samsung t5. Besides my samsung pro ssd's I'm also using a 2tb T5 and it's doing the job fine (: I am not a fan of trying to game from an external drive. The transfer speeds just aren't there. Granted, somewhat less of an issue with an SSD, but still.... If his laptop will support the drive in an internal bay, that is the best solution. Yes, but it rly depends on the ext. ssd. The t5 is more or less on the same level as the 860 evo. And the normal user wouldn't rly noticed the difference, but just an option. Since op has a free sata port, he can go with sata. But thats still up to op.
  12. Leave the pre-builts, mostly cheap parts, crap psu, not rly worth the pennies. Your budget is great enough for a great rig, but sadly a bad time for building coz oh some high prices. Anyway, since you wanna do multitasking, go with ryzen. As pointed out from Jimmy Ryzen 5 will do a long good job for you. Go with something like this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LMydfP Also what about Screen? Do u alrdy own one?
