  1. The world doesn't really react to anything. So, I became the boss of the Dark Brotherhood. Big whoopdie-do. Guards tell me they know I'm with the DB, so they must know I'm a murderer (in game), yet make no attempts to arrest me. Likewise, both Maven Black-Briar and Morgan Frey tells me they have an arrangement with the Dark Brotherhood, yet I can't tell them, "That's the first I've heard about it", "Not anymore, you don't", or even, "About that arrangement..." It's so annoying that when I do something and complete a quest, there's like, a superficial recognition of having completed it, but nobody actually reacts or cares.
  2. No...it's the truth Opinion and truth are subjective. Opinion, yes. Truth, kind of; there's the factual truth, which is pretty much indisputable, and also the truth that people believe, which is definitely subjective, but even then, you could classify the latter as actually a belief, and therefore an opinion and not a truth, so technically speaking, Truth isn't really subjective.
  3. 1: Sword 2: Bow 3: Unrelenting Force 4: Aura Whisper
  4. Too many essential characters. I walked into a town and started to open fire with my bow because, well, I had read that just randomly killing people could get the player a Dark Brotherhood invite, and I had already completed the quest to get the Dark Brotherhood invite and had waited a few days, but to no avail. So, I'm sneaking and shooting my arrows, doing 3x Sneak Attack damage to my victims, and it seemed like 50% of named characters were essential. That's just bloody annoying, particularly in a game where I'm supposed to be able to do anything.
  5. As much as possible. Being forced to walk or ride a horse from place to place feels like a game that's forcibly being padded out; open space with nothing to do is not content to me, and I'm not somebody who's impressed by how large w world feels.
  6. Ummm... have you gotten sneak to 100 yet? Its absurdly over powered... Doesn't matter if your using the front door or the back, no ones going to notice you anyway. Yeah, but that's actually got nothing to do with stealth; an actual stealth character, say a thief, would be entering places through back doors because it minimizes the chances of being spotted, regardless of whether the stat was 100 or not, because even knowing their Sneak skill was at 100 is metagaming; the actual character doesn't think in terms of numbers for their skills. Sure, they might know they're very good at stealth, but that doesn't change the fact that, a stealth character would do everything in their power to mitigate the chance of being detected, regardless of whether they had been detected yet or not.
  7. Surely you don't mean that men can train to give birth.
  8. I think it'd be nice if you could react to what people say, when your guild status changes. For example, when you become the head of the Dark Brotherhood, then choose to join the Thieves' Guild, both Morgan Frey and Maven Black-Briar wil tell the player that they have ties to the Dark Brotherhood; surely, as the Listener, the player should have the choice of saying something like, "Let's continue our partnership", "That's the first time I've heard of it", or even, "Not anymore, you don't." Also, if the guards come up to you and say they know you're with the Dark Brotherhood, surely they'd attempt to arrest you; after all, if they know the player is with the Dark Brotherhood, they're essentially saying they know the player is a murderer. Or say when you become the leader of the companions; that people even continue to mock the player, "What do you do, fetch the mead", surely the player should have the ability to react in some sort of negative way.
  9. Bethsoft is well-known for railroading players due to poor writing; if anything, I'd say Bethsoft does not understand the concept of "freedom" as it pertains to RPGs, and thus railroads players into decisions that their character might normally never make.
  10. Not sure if you've finished the Thieves' Guild quests, but during the arc, both Maven and Mercer say they have strong ties to the Dark Brotherhood, but yet, if you finish the Dark Brotherhood questline, you can't tell them, "That's the first I've heard of it", or "Not anymore, you don't."
  11. I have to disagree with that. They only seem interested in your personal advancement and growth, so long as it fits within their worldview. Granted, I haven't really completed the main story, but just the condescension from their only talker annoys the bejesus out of me.
  12. Most wishlisting than likely, because I know Bethsoft tends to screw the stealth characters, but back entries into more places would be nice. As a stealth character, I'm kind of tired of entering every building through the bloody front door.
  13. Bayonetta's a parody of a "Strong female protagonist"; sure, she kills a bunch of stuff and is female, but in terms of a character, I wouldn't call her a "strong female" anything, because she's a parody of what strong women are like. Morrigan and Leliana are definitely strong female characters, as is Shepard from Mass Effect (if played as a female).
  14. I like Paarthurnax, but I don't like the Grey Beards; to me, they (the Grey Beards) seem just as self-important as the Blades remnants. While the Grey Beards might be 'Nax's pupils, they seem far too bent on their own prejudices and thus disrespect the wishes of others. If anything, I feel like they lack true wisdom. 'Nax lives in my games, but mostly from a tactical standpoint: a dragon is a better asset than two over-the-hill, out-of-practices former soldiers who failed miserably at their assignments. Actually, lore-wise, a single dragon should be more powerful than an entire army, so 'Nax makes for an excellent asset.
  15. Would be nice if somebody redid all the housecarls, then added dialogue where, in the case of a multiple follower mod, banter occurring between the housecarls, like a bragging contest or something. Or any general banter, for that matter.
  16. Pretty sure most of them are essential.
  17. I like to play soldiers; by that, I mean smart "warriors" who use the best tool for the task and take out the enemies quickly and efficiently, usually without being spotted. This means high Sneak and Archery, with decent investment in Lockpicking, Illusion and One-Handed and some ranks in Light Armor (though not a lot). This, unfortunately, brings me to one of my main gripes for Skyrim: no backdoors. By that, I mean, for most buildings, there isn't a back way into the structure, making Stealth really more like just another way of fighting enemies, rather than an alternative method of getting into and out of a place without being noticed.
  18. Like in Oblivion, you can become the boss of everything in Skyrim.
  19. she not only one that does that. there guy name Benor he say what you going to take Jordis does too. Might be all the housecarls.
