  1. I use Martigen's Monster Mod for increased monsters. If you want the total overhaul package though, check out FCOM. It incorporates three overhaul mods into one. Quest wise, Lost Spires is one, but I haven't yet explored many quest mods yet. I haven't even played LS. I just hear a lot of good things about it.
  2. Tamriels Glittering Geology goes a little above and beyond that, but I'm not sure you'll mind. Plenty of precious metals/gems. Or maybe The Imperial Vaults which adds them into the game but not for sale, only to steal. I can't find a mod that sells them to you. But that doesn't mean that it's non-existent. Did they ever finish the Tamriels Glittering Geology? Did they ever put it in the random loot lists?
  3. There really isn't one. I am in the process of making a couple of belts that add "prop" swords and daggers to them. When I get finished, you could probably achieve the same effect, though it probably won't be your specific sword.
  4. sigh.... him too eh? That's too bad; he was a good modder.
  5. http://www.elricm.com/nuke/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownloaddetails&lid=3047 Is that the same thing as THIS?
  6. Okay, got the problem fixed, sort of. I needed to use ( ) for agrument type structures, and change the variables a little so they would be short rather than float so that I can use whole numbers rather than < > type stuff. CS would NOT let me save the script without using a ref command for each of the NPCs for some reason. It kept telling me I HAD to use a ref command for them. Fixed that, saved it, attached it to a scroll, buuuuut, it crashes the game immediately upon taking the scroll. Back to square one. I think I'm going to go the quest route, and attach a similar script to a quest script to do the functions I'm wanting. I think this will be easier in the long run anyways.
  7. Thank you! I had looked at a few of these already, but you never know what works well and what is fun until you try it. Having someone else recommend it increases the chance that the thing will be fun. I'm surprised that no one made any skooma-based gang faction mods. When I searched for 'skooma', all I found were mods for working water pipes! While interesting from an immersion point of view, it is an odd thing to spend time modeling and so on in there isn't a bigger picture to the sub-culture. And, yeah, I've had no luck on the pirate thing either. I've downloaded, but am loathe to install a rather old pirate faction/questline that is labeled BETA. From that link you provided, I've chosen: Hear no evil Stealth overhaul Thievery in IC Remeer's Guard Overhaul (which I hope does not conflict with OOO since I think it removed psychic guards already?) I've also downloaded Duke Patrick's fresh Kills, but I am not liking all of the requirement/recommended conditions for using it, though I liked the idea. Are there any others you would highly recommend for someone who likes to 'roleplay' her environment and so on and to make the experience more fun? It's a loooong list. One caveat- with Vista and my install location, I find I can't get wyre bash to work properly, so nothing that requires that. :D Be careful about using Reneer's Guard Overhaul with other overhaul type mods. It conflicts with some of the stealth overhauls because they basically do the same thing. You'll have to pick which one you want rather than both. I think that may be the case for Stealth Overhaul, but I might be wrong. As far as recommendations, you might want to check out Thieves Arsenal, it adds some neat tricks to the trade. That's all I can think of ATM. I'm not at my home PC so I can't name the specific ones right now. And don't worry about Wyre Bash, most mods really don't require it. I don't really use it myself right now.
  8. You almost really need a 2d surface to effectively play a RTS if you think about it. It just makes sense. What I'd like to see in a RTS is both elements. Have the overhead 2d plane for normal gaming and strategy forming, and then once the commands and action starts, zoom in onto a 3rd element, as if you're in the action. WC3 touched base on this a little and came close, but it was still really lacking what I would have thought for. What would even be cooler is if you could actually become one of the units and fight with them. Now that would be sweet.
  9. Has a nice stealth list  Not so sure about the pirate one. I know there was one being worked on for awhile, but I believe they ended up scraping it because of bad bugs and unresolved problems...... I'm sadly facing the same thing for a mod I was working on.
  10. Oh I know, I loved the story of SC too, and I hate that the pricing is driving me away from learning more of it. Thanks for saying so on the books. I'm still way off from publishing. I keep saying just a year and It'll be ready, but I said that 2 years ago. :whistling:
  11. To me though, the first SC ended the game without really a close to the story. The expansion especially did that too. It left the story wide open. Sure there was some closure, but there was still a wide open gap they left open with the zerg. I can even remember Blizzard saying there wasn't going to be a sequel, which of course they now are eating their own words. "Pass the salt and pepper please?" I did feel cheated then when they announced that at first. As far as my book series goes, there are some conclusive elements to each book, but the whole of the story is spread out across the four. I've read many series like that, The Belgariad series from David Eddings comes to mind. Regardless, I do want to have a more separate feel for each book, and right now the series reads like one whole big one. However, I haven't finished the series yet and have only scratched a little at the editting. The first book does very well at this separateness now, the third one does pretty good, but leaves it as an unexpected cliffhanger, and a pretty good one I might say so myself, :D ,but the second one is a little open ended. That'll have to be fixed. Forth, I'm still working on. I've hit a motivation speed bump with it though, because of a personal tragedy, and it's been that way for almost a year now. I'm not going to give it up though, I've collectively spent 8-9 years of my life on it, and I'm not about to abandon it. I will be publishing this in some way or form. Sorry about the rambling. I get excited when I talk about the books. LOL.
  12. I finally got around to testing this script, but I have a big problem.... it won't work. I couldn't get the script to even save in the construction set. First it kept telling me there had to be a begin/end for all scripts. After putting in a Begin Gamemode/end block, it keeps telling me that Line 10 has a syntax error: Undefined function Set. Line 10 is the If OnControlDown 9 Set A to Rand 1 4. Here's how I structured the test script: ScriptName AAAStealthWarBook ;This activates the random stealther chance Begin Gamemode Short Doonce float A float B If OnControlDown 9 Set A to Rand 1 4 If A <= 2 Set B to Rand 1 2 Endif If B == 1 Assas1.MoveTo Player 100,100,0 Assas1.enable Endif If B == 2 Assas2.MoveTo Player -100,100,0 Assas2.enable Endif Endif End I didn't really want to do a Begin Gamemode block because it runs all the time. I just wanted the script to start when you went into sneak mode.
  13. Which effect is that anyways? The fireball explosion?
  14. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Orange_Box Ahh okay. Yeah, I miss going to the store and see those mulitpacks. I can remember when I bought my first computer, saw the Blizzard combo pack of Diablo and Starcraft, and a few others that were bundled together. Those were the days. The game industry has sadly become nothing but about the almighty dollar now and from the reports I've heard about it's gotten monstrous. Even more sadly, I will probably give my dollars to feed the monster as well.... . . . I just wont be as bad as buying separate compentants to make a whole game like SC2. Still, I could have foreseen this long ago when MMORPGs became big. If you think about it, that's the answer to the popularity to MMOs that offer new content to subscribers. Single expansions just won't cut it anymore. Pretty soon, we'll be seeing games that are split into separate pieces just like SC2, even linear, story-like games that don't conclude until the last piece is installed. Then you can do expansions that do the same thing all over again. And why not? Book series already do that. Heck, the book series I'm writting does that. You have to read all four books to get to the end. I can see single player games following the same pattern in the future. Sad to me though because games have always been nice neat little packages, save for the few MMOs I've played. BUT, at the same time, it does bode well for gamers. Now their favorite games can go on and on. Ever have a game you wished didn't end?
  15. Hmm. I MIGHT buy the zerg expansion. I enjoyed that side of the story for some reason with the first game. I stress the might though. What is Orange Box? Sorry for my ignorance, I haven't been keeping up with the latest in gaming marketing, except for the very little with Ubisoft and their crap.
  16. Well, now I'm confused again. I got the mesh exported, and it shows up in Nifscope, but in the game, it doesn't show a thing as if there was now mesh at all. Any clues on that?
  17. So how do I look up the formID for adrenaline Rush or do I just type "player.addspell adrenaline Rush formID"? You can do it several ways. CS, or to me, it's faster to look it up on the website that I linked in my previous post.
  18. Shouldn't lose anything if you follow the instructions on the link I put up.
  19. Don't need a mod for that. Check this out Be sure to follow the instructions to a T
  20. Gethesmain, although not the same, I have a similar helmet mod. Check it out in my sig. You could simply retexture it.
  21. Oblivion Setitems Try that one. edit: Found another too called Snake Set Items.
  22. See, that's the way I look at it too and what I would do as well. I'd even go as far as to edit the attributes/readme and state that "I'm no longer modding or supporting this mod" or something to that affect.
  23. I might buy it then, but only if it's priced at a normal game's pricing, and probably only when it is reduced to $30.
  24. Thanks for the help Razorpony. Even though you think you didn't do much, it got me to re-look at the weight paint. +1 kudos to you good sir.
  25. WOOHOO HOO!! Finally figured it out! You aren't going to believe this, but there was one tinnnnnny little vertex that was hidden from view and did not have the correct weight paint on it. Fixed it and it exported.... As Homer Simpson says, and I quote, "DOH!"
