  1. I think people forget that gaming is supposed to be fun... you take the knocks with the builds and all will be good.
  2. Rolling on the laughing floor? Yup most definitely a laughing floor where I'm lying :D  :whistling: :D
  3. Thank you... This had me rolling round laughing (rolf for those who are in the know) which I really needed.
  4. I love almost all animals, but draw the line at wasps. It's not even that I'm scared of them-I just can't bring myself to like them. It's not even the fact they have a painful sting-a Tarantula bite is a lot more painful and I like tarantulas enough to have kept them as pets. Rather, it's why they sting you. I've never encountered an animal I'd consider capable of malice other than humans and chimpanzees, but wasps come pretty close. I'm allergic to wasp stings (hospital needed and quickly if I'm stung same as chili unfortunately), so I tend to stay away from them et al. Bees on the other hand I'm ok with and rarely have problems with bee stings. I also react quite badly to mosquito and horse fly stings too :(
  5. I thank goodness chainsaws are not working. The sight of blood at the moment would send me over the edge totally :D
  6. @Werne... I have an AMD Phenom II. I changed it to an Athlon and then went back as that went down freakishly quickly. I've never overclocked a machine as I'm not sure how and am scared witless about doing something to blow the bloody thing up lol. I'll let you know how or what I decide, there are a few things coming up very quickly that take priority including my eldest son's 16th (we don't know whether to get him a new PS4 or an Husky puppy), then my daughter's 18th (she's having a party and wants a Kindle Fire HD like her brothers). I think I'll have to consider robbing a bank but hey I could do with a little peace and quiet :D
  7. Seeing as how I've been working with computer hardware on a regular basis nowadays... for what kind of gaming and what budget? Personally, unless you're looking at $800 and up, I'd way for AMD's Kaveri if I were you. FX-series path is a dead-end cause AMD dropped the AM3+ socket (plus, they will be merging sockets once DDR4 goes live) and Intel will cost you an arm and a leg. If AMD delivers the promised 30% with Kaveri this month, do merge the Volcanic Islands core with Steamroller, and keep chugging them at a low price, their unlocked A-series will pretty much be the only sensible path in the mid-range market until Excavator and Skylake hit the shelves. You likely don't get a thing I just said so here's a simple version - wait, AMD is far more sensible when it comes to performance you get for the price. This machine is an AMD one... I've had to change the processor just about every year for the past three years and to me, being a quad core processor it should last longer than 12 months. Mind you I do hammer it at times and the machine is not overclocked as I have no idea how to do it lol. I'll start saving up and let you know when I have a decent amount saved so you can give me the heads up. I've built two machines, but I'm not up to doing it again just yet especially as I want a water cooling system etc ... Anyway, I'm off to my bed as the boys have to be up for school in 4 and a half hours lol. Nite, nite all xxx
  8. I was hoping to save up for a new PC this year as this one is 3 years old and one of the fans needs replacing... I'll do that and give it to the boys for Minecraft purposes :D I need a decent gaming machine and one that can be upgraded periodically... this one should be but I've had a few problems with it and don't trust it anymore. I wanted a rapter but don't know if they are still going or if they've been ousted by something bigger and better... if that's the case I may have to save up for next year instead :( I have a 16th and 18th birthday and a new baby due on 22nd March (daughter's pregnant not me) so its gonna be a heavy duty year. In any case I'll be popping in and out and any advice would be gratefully received. I may share the trials and tribulations of the past few months if and when I get time to get things straight in the sponge I laughingly call a brain :)
  9. lol you wicked thing you Werne. How's your wife by the way? She will be due in February/March won't she? My daughter is due on 22nd March but we think MJ will be here well before.
  10. Looks good. I may try to play Skyrim again sometime in the near future :)
  11. Happy New Year all.... I have just found the best film track of all time... Wreck It Ralph!!!! Yup I'm hooked :D
  12. Coffee is better. I've never tried coffee, and I don't think I will because I might get addicted... :ermm: I can't quite imagine waking up and munching on an apple. Coffee or tea feels better to me :D
  13. I have 6, used to have 10 but my daughter took 2 and two went to a neighbour down the road :D
  14. I've got two that do this. Mother and son lol  Mum gets cross with son as she did it first and I love her to pieces, her sons (4 of them) used to be quite standoffish but since they got older they follow me everywhere. Their Mum brings in the biggest leaves and feathers she can find and is very proud of them. Her sons bring in mice, usually still alive and proceed to kill them in the kitchen, when ends up looking like a slaughterhouse by the time I get up in the morning :D
  15. I prefer KFC myself. Oh, good morning Nexus :D
  16. omg I'm watching cupcake wars on TV and then this, I want one NOW. Oh Morning Nexus :) xxx
