  1. In response to post #22104034. #22104314, #22105019 are all replies on the same post. I just tried installing a 29Gb Steam game where if the bugged available space should have been 27 and it worked. If you have any clear evidence of a program unable to move/install files on an hd where StartMenu->Computer reports enough available free space please let me know so I can test it.

  3. In response to post #22104034. Free space reported by explorer is always able to tell real files from links, but when you check the size of a folder by right-clicking and selecting properties it is indeed "bugged" (I think it is working as intended for Microsoft). Eg.: If I install Immersive Armors, both my skyrim data folder and my mods/virtualinstall folder report a size increase of 2,5Gb, for a total of 5Gb; but if I check the free space available on that HD by going into Start Menu - Computer I see it only decreased by 2.5Gb , also trying to install a game through Steam will report a decrease of available space of just 2.5Gb.
  4. In response to post #22097379. #22098609, #22101299 are all replies on the same post. Yes they both work with the new NMM installation method (NMM will also ask you to run FNIS after a profile switch if it is detected).
  5. In response to post #22095959. #22098619 is also a reply to the same post. Use the restore backup functionality if you want to restore your setup (when it talks about 0.54 it means 0.53): http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/How_to_restore_or_revert_to_an_NMM_backup
  6. In response to post #22086374. NMM will ask you if you want to run FNIS (if it is detected) after a profile switch. About SkyProc you need to do it manually as you do it now.
  7. In response to post #22083469. This is a known issue and will be fixed soon.
  8. In response to post #22022199. You're not required to create even a single profile, if you perform the startup mod migration a default profile will be made for you, but you can always delete it and completely forget about profiles, and just use the new version for the new install method.
  9. In response to post #21986174. #21986399, #22008409 are all replies on the same post. Yes NMM just uses "pointers" to files, you will see them in the data folder, but they're not really there. If you remove every mod installed with NMM then your Data folder will be back at his initial state.
  10. In response to post #22005509. I will port the alpha build source over GitHub soon (that's why it's not on Sourceforge, but I need some spare time to do that :) ). Activation queue is not in this alpha. We considered using jp last year, but junction points can't be used in this case because the destination folder needs to be empty and this will greatly limit what users could do with their game folders, we don't want users to lose versatility. Anyway there's still a lot of room for improvements in the profile switch speed, this will be taken care of as soon as the build is considered to be stable.

  12. In response to post #21825309. 0.60 will allow you to migrate your current mod installation to the new method, so you can start playing/modding right now.
  13. In response to post #21824074. There's no install window, there's the mod activation monitor on the bottom right (by default) where mod install/uninstall go in a queue (so you don't have to wait for a mod install to finish before clicking on another one). If your UI is lagging, please uninstall NMM and make sure the program folder is removed then install the new version, there's an issue where a .dll is not properly upgraded (even though 0.53.2 seems to have fixed that for almost everyone).
  14. I found out there was an issue in the installer script preventing it from automatically downloading and installing .Net Framework 4.5.2, what you were getting as a "fishy" link is nothing else than a built in framework procedure sending you there when it finds out you're missing a required framework. We will soon upload a new installer that will work as expected to automatically take care of this procedure and prevent any confusion.
  15. In response to post #21801334. Just download this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42642
  16. In response to post #21799369. It should redirect you to the microsoft site, specifically to this installer: http://download.microsoft.com/download/B/4/1/B4119C11-0423-477B-80EE-7A474314B347/NDP452-KB2901954-Web.exe
  17. Didn't the installer warn you about that?
  18. In response to post #21508324. #21519829, #21519924, #21520684, #21524904, #21530079, #21530884, #21543299, #21548204 are all replies on the same post. The way the new NMM install method works shouldn't cause any trouble with scripts and the CK, but if you got a specific case to test, please tell me the steps to replicate it and I will be able tell you for sure.
  19. In response to post #21508324. #21519829, #21519924, #21520684, #21524904 are all replies on the same post. Would you care to elaborate?
  20. In response to post #21508324. #21519829, #21519924 are all replies on the same post. Something like that, but compatible with every game.
  21. In response to post #21508324. Files are not really there, Windows and games are just "tricked" into thinking they are there.
  22. This is more an issue with properly setting up your New Vegas.
  23. You need to ask for help in the Skyrim's section, this forum is for NMM feedback only.
  24. In response to post #16510409. You shouldn't reupload the files, you'll lose your spot in the queue.
