    can try adding ifpsclamp=* to your skyrim.ini under [General] (* = max frame rate you'd like or whatever you've locked your fps to)

    make sure theyre being copied into the correct folders. skyrim\data\meshes skyim\data\textures you'll more than likely have to copy them manually. Read the mod install instructions carefully.

    As gromulos said, if the mod doesn't have mcm it won't show. No real need to download a large mod just to check if mcm is working. If you can see skyui's MCM menus then it's working. What version of skyrim?

    did you edit the generalsettings.txt and activate the modules as needed? it can be found here: Skyrim\Data\SkyProc Patchers\T3nd0_PatchusMaximus\PMxl

    Why not try AFT? Follower Live Package is pretty good too but it has a pretty steep learning curve (need to read what all the features do etc) EFF messes up a.i. when sneaking and other combat blunders.

    Are you using any skeleton altering mods that might not be listed? I'd start by disabling all mods except LAL and see if you can start. Make a save just before using the bed then slowly reactivate them and see which is the cause.

    running an enb? if so change this line in enblocal ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true to this ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false

    run tes5edit and see if there are any conflicts and adjust them accordingly.

    what version of skyrim? You've given very little info as to what mods you use, changes to mods etc... how to ask for help

    Impossible to get old saves to work with updated mods.
