That mod seemed a bit cumbersome to me because once you reached the level of the file you download, the author says to uninstall it or you will crash that game. Then, I guess you install a different file for a different level? Kind of confusing. There's another one http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/414/? But you would need to read the descriptions to see which one would work best for you?

Yes, he's slain if he's in your room so his body lies on your bedroom floor. But don't invite him and he doesn't get slain, in front of you anyway. And I've hunted all over and have yet to find his corpse. If he isn't slain in the love scene, then where is he? He's not even in the Great Room with Ser Gilmore trying to hold the doors closed. I guess I just assumed he was taken captive. But if that's true, then he would be alive to rewrite into the story?

Don't understand the philosophy behind denying the dwarf noble their rights as king. Afterall, Alistair gets to be King and he's a Grey Warden. So, what's the deal?

Are you sure you actually installed the Nvidia driver and didn't just download it? Missing graphics sounds a lot like the card's having problems? You might try turning down your settings for the card in Options? Especially for terrain, shadows, and water. See if asking the card to not work so hard, by lowering your settings, makes a difference? You might want to check for newer drivers for your CPU and Monitor as well. I didn't realize there were drivers for monitors but I found it on-line and couldn't believe the difference it made. Before that monitor (DELL) driver, the game's music would stutter while the game was opening now it plays through without a hiccup.

I had HD eyes as well. Got the stuck White screen after talking to Solas on the snowy hill. I did a force close of the game and could see my Inquisitor still standing by the torch as the game closed but of course it's too late to pop back in there. I had other mods as well, and deactivated them one-by-one until I finally dragged my merged mod folder to my desktop and deleted my Patch_ModManager Merge folder (only the Official patch was left in the Mod Manager. I forced a rescan of the Official Patch so no mods would register in the manager. I restarted my game and the cutscene played showing everyone walking to Skyhold, saved, closed the game, put my merged mod folder back in the update folder, re-scanned my mods back in the game through the manager (without a forced scan of the Official Patch this time) and everything works fine now. Only one thing has me confused though. I seem to recall, on a previous playthrough, that I got to talk to Roderick one last time before he died while in that camp. Did I imagine that? I went straight from the Dawn will Come song, to Solas, to the cutscene to Skyhold. There was one scene where Dorian is sitting by Roderick's side and he appears to have died, but other than that, no interaction with anyone but Mother Gizelle and Solas.

There have been wonderful add-on cutscenes that really enhance this game. One of my favorite modders of all time DahliaLynn. I am a big fan!! So, I was thinking, maybe just one more romantic mod might be possible? A morning wedding breakfast added to the wedding cutscene? Or maybe in front of Awakening? Just to tie up loose ends? It just seems so cold to me, that Alistair and the Warden marry and have little time to enjoy the moment? Next thing we know, the Warden is off to fight to the death on a foreign shore with only a brief meeting with her love before he heads back to the relative safety of Ferelden. If there is a scene in the Wedding that already addresses this, could someone advise on why it doesn't trigger for me, because I have yet to see anything like that happen.

I'm not sure I understand. I use this technique in the Winter Palace while I'm in the room of torches since I only need it there. As long as I dump it in there, nothing happens when I activate and deactivate my weapons in there, at least I haven't had any trouble.....yet. I'll have to revisit that in-game again just to be sure!

I know you can waste, I mean spend, Inquisition points that allow extra carry slots for potions/tonics/grenades, but would be really great if, after you equip such a belt, it is consumed giving the player the extra space but opening the belt slot for more defensive/offensive belts afterwards? Has anyone made such a mod yet? Is it even possible?

I am not a modder. So this might seem like a dumb question to all the experts out there. But are the ebx files that download with mods for modders only? If all I want to do is download the mod for in-game play (like a new hair texture, or armor texture), I don't need the ebx file do I?

If you start an Alienage Elf, there's a beggar who has a sad tale and asks for any help you can give. And you have the choice to do so if you want to, or tell him to get a job, whatever. (Title should read Feed the beggar, but can't get back in the title to fix it). But in Orzammar, there's a beggar in the Hall of Paragons who sits there and begs and you can't help at all. And I'm a Dwarf! I come from this place! Does anyone know of a mod to let my Dwarven Warden interact with this guy? Would it be hard to create one? I feel sorry for this guy.

Thank you for sticking with us Dark0ne and not allowing one rotten apple to spoil the barrel. I love your site, it is nothing short of miraculous. If not for the Nexus connection and to modders that support this site, I would have abandoned this game long ago. As it is, I've also expanded into other games this site supports like Skyrim, DAI, Mass Effect and others. The game companies should be subsidizing this site big time, in my opinion (if they aren't already). There are a lot of new games coming out all the time, a virtual plethora to choose from. If not for mods that re-energizes interest in these older, vintage games, they would have faded out of memory long ago.

I think I finally figured it out. If you start a Dalish Elf, you find a Tevinter mirror that Duncan smashes. This puts The Looking Glass quest in your lineup. However, if you decide to delete that Elf, and it's the only Dalish Elf story you have active, the mirror quest is deleted with the saved game. All your other saves prior to the deletion see that file as needed, but it isn't there anymore. Once I started a Dalish Elf again and Duncan smashed the mirror (again) my games worked fine and didn't ask for that file anymore.

Actually, the demise of Howe by various, torturous, means, would be sought after by all, not just the Couslands. Yes, the Cousland Family has a strong need for revenge, but all the Grey Wardens would want this man dead for his duplicity with Loghain in the slaughter at Ostagar and his persistent efforts to have you and your companions killed along the trail. I can think of no one (I doubt even Loghain would defend him) that wouldn't want a piece of this guy!

Can't wait to see it! Might be able to recruit some help from this forum if you need it? I'd volunteer if I knew anything, but I live vicariously through other people's mods. :ninja:

I don't like the choices provided a Dwarf Noble Female. The DNM can sire a child before getting exiled and come back to some intrigue. The female doesn't get anything interesting like that. Choosing between Bhelen and Harrowmont are no-brainers if you're male, he did after all kill your elder brother, frame you, and hasten the death of your father the King. The thought of remaining exiled and your son being castless is something you struggle with. These choices are true for the female as well, but there's no extenuating circumstances, like a child, to tear at your loyalties. Could someone come up with a mod that puts some intrigue into being a dwarf female? Could also translate over to the dwarf male if done well to allow the DWM to be King? Example? DWF= Daughter of King Aeducan 1. Already married (married with young child ...infant?..) 2. Night before announcement, husband of DWF is found murdered (would give you something in common with Alistair) 3. Rumors run rampant connecting Trian and/or Bhelen, but no hard evidence. .......... Continue to usual story plot, Commander, Deep Roads, arrest for Trian's murder..... 4. Fearing what Bhelen will do to your son now that you are about to be exiled, you get Gorim to spirit the child away to trusted friends in the Diamond Quarter. That's why infant would be best, harder for anyone to recognize the child later. ......... Continue to usual story plot, exiled to Deep Roads, recruited by Duncan, head to Ostegar......eventually returning to Orzammar to cement alliance. 5. On return (the story could deviate at this point so the DWM has the same choices once he learns about the child with Mardy): a. find out status of son, b. find evidence to convict Bhelen of Trian's murder, c. Present evidence to assembly and ask for justice. d. kill Bhelen when challenged by him in the assembly. e. With Harrowmont's backing, the assembly votes the DWF as QUEEN of Orzammar. However, as a Grey Warden, with obligations elsewhere, you accept the throne and appoint Harrowmont as Royal Regent for your child until you return. Should you not return (die in final battle), he remains regent until your child is of age to prove his worth as an heir of the Aeducan's. Once the entire story is played out and the Archdemon is killed, if your DWF is still alive, the story would have you return to Orzammar as Queen until the taint drives you to the Deep Roads like all Wardens (but not until your son comes of age).

Have you looked "Bi Tamlen and Opening Cutscene Dialogue Fix by mintflavoredwindows" yet? Might be what you are looking for?

This is the first quest at Cousland Castle. You don't need a key to enter Mother's room for equipment. After killing Howe's guards outside your room she comes out the door and it is unlocked then. You have to get all 4 of Howe's men, killing only two won't work. If you mean the key to the Cousland Treasury Room, mother gives that to you as soon as you get close to the door and try to open it. I don't recall Ser Gilmore giving a key, but some say if you talk to him in the great room while the battle rages, you won't get a key from him to the larder where father is. So go in swinging and don't stop until you have killed all Howe's men, then speak to Ser Gilmore. That might break the stuck part? If not, list your mods that effect early in the game, like the Ser Gilmore mods, or Hugs, or dialogue fixes. The dialogue fixes especially messed me up and I had to remove them.

You must mean story mods? Because there's a lot of mods for Awakening already. Changes to Anders, romance mementos from Alistair, Origin companions brought into Awakening, endgame cut fixes, etc. Not sure how those are done? I know nothing of modding except that they're cool!!
