Is the site ever going to be fixed/updated?

I mean come on now. It's been a year and a half since Skyrim came out and the site is as unreliable as ever. Tons of 'file does not exist' errors in the manager, tabs on mods' pages refuse to load, entire pages won't load because of some error... are the site servers just that bad or what?

It's been bad on weekends for about 3 months now. It's fine during the week. It'll be fixed when it's fixed, which is hopefully soon. When Skyrim first came out we were receiving about 25 million page views a week. You'd have thought 18 months on things would have calmed down. Nope, we're still pushing out 22 million page views a week. Only now our database is much, much bigger (and ergo slower) than it was when we first started out.

22 million page views a week

22m / 7 = 3,142,857 page views a day

3.142m / 24 = 130,952 page views an hour

130,952 / 60 = 2,182 page views a minute

2,182 / 60 = 36 page views a second

That's still quite a lot.

A more powerful server? Our server is one of the most powerful servers money can buy without being stupid about it.

We spent £30,000 and counting on our cluster setup, the solution to this problem, which we failed to get working last week. We are now investing more money to try and get it up and running. If you want to go elsewhere that's completely your prerogative.

"look elsewhere." i'm sure u won't find a site as good as this one. It's true that lately is slow and i'm receiving a lot of bad gateway errors and such and from the sites i use is the slowest but it's very good :)

The speed of this site and mod manager is rapidly becoming unbearable for me. May have to cancel my premium membership and look elsewhere.

I bought a premium membership and was rewarded with a 30 minute struggle to get a 50 kilobyte file to download. It'd be faster if the modmaker just called me on his phone and sent the bits using morse code.

But it's okay, it's still faster than the Workshop which for some reason requires minutes of HD thrashing between pages. ;D
