Slaiv
I realise you changed domains, but, uhhh...... Why? Oh, and the smilies aren't working. Also, just a comment to anyone interested: I'm pretty sure all the links from post-mwsource.net won't work if clicked on, but if you switch the .com to .net they should work. Maquissar
Yes, they do. But the matter is, the domain change was not that obvious. I hadto go to the MeMod official site in order to know what had happened. Maybe thereare some users who are still waiting for www.mwsource.com to come back up. surian
Hell, I'm a MEMod teamster and no one told me anything... I had to log onto MIRC and try to get answers for the last 2 days before anyone told me anything. This was a very bad way to handle a domain change like this. No one knew about it. I think it would be a good idea to find a way to put up a notification that this has happened.
ThetaOrionis01
surian.... I sent you an e-mail, the new site address was posted in the IRC channel topic and announced on the MEMOD website ... ...short of sending out a carrier pigeon there really wasn't much more I could have done :D Additionally there was a post on the official ES forums I'm sure Dark0ne will make an announcement as to why the unexpected domain name change became necessary as soon as he is less busy - I imagine transferring everything to a new domain name is a bit timeconsuming, and I'm surprised that he managed to get it done in such a short time. surian
hmmm.. I don't recall getting the e-mail. *checks.* Nope, no e-mail from you or anyone else saying that the domain was changing. Did you send it to [email protected] or some other e-mail? The only one I use is [email protected] and it's the one that should be attached to my profile. If you sent out the e-mail then that's ok, I retract my statment that this was a bad move, my suggestion would have been to e-mail everyone about the move, if you did that then it's all good ;) Don't know why I wouldn't have gotten the e-mail though. ThetaOrionis01
Well - I used the only e-mail address I had for you that I could access while the forums were down - your memod one. You should definitely have received it.
surian
I don't have my MEMod email adress set up. I never recieve anything from it. The only one I use is my kent.edu one ;) That would explain why I was unaware of the move.

Switch
Yeah basically everything's changed to .net for the moment. Both the forums and the site. I heard it was some sort of domain registry problem or something. Domain change was a spur of the moment emergency thing rather than something that was planned, I think. Maquissar
Ok, but still I am sure that not everyone has noticed, guessed or learnt in some way of the domain change. Just look at the Active members in the past 24 hours: I am sure I remember a much longer list for that. I am not just talking of the Me-Mod devs (for which I hope you have E-mail addresses and screennames for whichever chat programs you use) but rather for the regular users. Not all of them will guess what has happened, not all of them know of the MEMOD homepage, and if you search for MORROWIND SOURCE on Google it still displays the dot-com address.
