TanakaMann
Hello all, Thanks in advance for your expertise. I'm attaching an image file of the floor that is missing from Apocrypha, within the Black Book Waking Dreams, not allowing me to advance in the Dragonborn questline. I've performed a number of actions to fix the problem, including looking up similar issues. It's as if portions of the cell just don't exist in the game files any more. Worried about my mods, but most should leave cells alone. I've tried the following steps: Waiting 30 in-game days for the cell to reset normally. Trying to select portions of the cell and disable and enable them (obviously the floor isn't really selectable in the console so this probably was pointless but I thought I'd try it, to no avail) The resetinterior command for DLC2Book07Dungeon, didn't accomplish anything except reset the actors and items. I performed QuickAutoClean of every dirty plugin that LOOT reported using SSEEdit. I removed the oft-quoted culprit mod Enhanced Lighting completely from my enabled mods. I haven't uninstalled it yet but it shouldn't be interacting with the game files at all, right? I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I used a spell that lets me run on the air to see how far out I could go. Came up against "You can go no further" just before the word wall that appears up ahead. The word wall also hasn't rendered, and Sahrotaar doesn't spawn. You can see the Summit of Apocrypha in the distance of the image. The only thing I have yet to try is to restart the game and try to fast track to that point in the game (I guess I could use a COC command) to see if the file is still missing. Please let me know if I need to upload a list of mods... LOOT tells me everything is good and I've updated every mod that I'm using, but honestly very few of them edit cells in this manner, and I've never had an issue like this before. That said, it's a rather long list, so I'm reluctant to pull it together unless it's the likely culprit. Image:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/images/121093 Thank you for your time! showler
If you cleaned Dragonborn.esm that is likely the culprit. You need to use a newer version of xEdit or disable a particular option when cleaning to avoid the problem. Yes fixed in newest xEdit on the xEdit discord8:12 AMOr fixed with old versions using -dontcache argument
TanakaMann
Thanks @showler! I performed another verification of the files and suddenly it was fixed, which led me to believe exactly what you told me, and now I have updated xEdit so that doesn't happen again.
gnarly1
<snippity>In general, unless you are experiencing a problem you know is caused by one of the DLC esms, do not clean them.
