what to do if Vortex puts a mod in the wrong place?

so i downloaded a Daggerfall Unity mod called Improved Interior lighting, and the mod was put in a folder calledstreamingassets instead of the games mods folder. is there a way to move the mod file without causing conflicts?

SO it put "improved interior lighting.dfmod" inside the "streamingassets\mods\" folder

Well, that's exactly where it should go, I have it installed as well, and mods go in Daggerfall Unity\DaggerfallUnity_Data\StreamingAssets\Mods\

That's where you'll find Improved interior Lighting.dfmod

The extension was developed under the assumption that <game directory>\DaggerfallUnity_Data\StreamingAssets is the game mods folder.

And all mods I found that include installation instructions ask to be installed to that directory.

 

Could you please provide details? What concrete directory would you expect the mods to be installed to and why? Are you following a tutorial or instructions by a mod author?
