Stronglav
So what is the best mod manager for fallout and skyrim games in your opinion?
HeyYou
Yeah, this is going to be fun. :D Everyone has their favorite. I am still using NMM. Never tried Mod Organizer, or the 2nd iteration thereof, and Vortex lacks some features I rather like, so I haven't 'upgraded' to it either. NMM is still in development, still being worked on, does what I need it to, and is easy enough to use. I'm happy with it. :D Not to mention changing mod managers is not without peril...... So far as I know, importing from one to the other doesn't always work well, if the option is there at all.

monesq
To the OP, if you have not used a manager, many people swear by Mod Organizer 2 ("MO2"). I have not used it myself as I started with Vortex years ago. Vortex keeps updating and has more and more features similar to MO2. Check out the tutorials for MO2

That, and I have stable installs of several games using NMM, and I am unwilling to go thru the installation process again, with a new mod manager. :)
Guest deleted34304850
the "best" mod manager is the one that suits you.try them all out - make your own choice. Everything else is just garbage.

I do not use the default groups but have created my own based on someones recommendations online. Since I have done that, my CTDs have gone down even though before I did not show any conflicts. It appears the game likes certain things loaded in a certain order, though this is just a wild guess.
FO4RP
I prefer to use NMM as mod manager and let the sorting be handled with LOOT
