ADragonCalledGeorge
So I started a new play through and I am at level 65 or something but I have not found a single piece of gear for enchanting. I have maxed my enchanting skill to 100 and have all the Enchanting Perks except for the last one that lets you put 2 enchantments on one weapon or piece of armor. However, I have not found any enchanting gear throughout the ENTIRE game so far and it's annoying me. I have smithing gear and alchemy gear but not enchanting gear. Anyone know of a way to find that stuff? Many thanks in advance!! P.S. I am not using any cheats in this game and a few mods (one of them being Immersive Hud and such-like)
Rennn
What do you mean enchanting gear? Like equipment that fortifies enchanting skill?Or Oblivion-esque portable crafting apparatus?
ADragonCalledGeorge
Yeah I mean like gear that let's you make better enchantments. Similar to how a helmet of Smithin or Bracers of Minor Alchemy for example.
IsharaMeradin
The enchanting skill is not boosted by any armors in the stock game. Just as the alchemy skill is not boosted by any potions in the stock game. It was done for balance reasons, I believe. To have better enchant skills, you need to advance alchemy for potion boost. To have better alchemy skills, you need to advance enchanting for gear boost.
GlassDeviant
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Fortify_Enchanting The only ways to improve Enchanting other than by raising your skill level or taking perks are by using a Fortify Enchanting potion or following the information in the Notes section of the page linked above. TenderHooligan
Actually there's a pair of boots in the Dragonborn DLC that improves Enchanting by 10 points when worn with 3 other matching pieces of armor. Pretty sure that's the only vanilla equipment with Fortify Enchanting.
