Necromancers

I have met necromancers, killed necromancers, stolen from necromancers and even harassed (if that is possible) necromancers.

 

But i have always wanted to be one. :halloween:

 

Does anyone know if you can, or if it is not possible.

When it comes to the original game, no, i don't think you can become one.

 

There might be a mod out there however that allows you to be a necromancer.

 

I also wanted to be one, so to solve the problem I made a character that specialized in Conjuration and Destruction and his profession was Necromancer. Yes it's pathetic, but it's better than nothing.

That's the only way I can think of - creating a custom class, then making your own custom spells, like animate dead [if that's a Morrowind spell - it may be Baldur's Gate.]

The necromancer class is included in morrowind, but it's not set as playable. All you have to do is open the CS and load Morrowind, from here click 'character' from the top tab and click 'class...' Now you just select 'Necromancer' in the 'ID' drop-down menu and check the 'playable' box, then save your plugin. Enable it and you can play as a Necromancer. There is a mod somewhere which enables all the classes that came with the game but are set as unplayable. If you're looking for a necromancer guild, or similar, there are such mods out there, I haven't tried any myself, but I do know of one which allows you to become a lich! Here, try this one... I haven't played it , but it sounds cool. B)

I know there is a mod out that makes a Necromancers House in Balmora, but I've never tried it. I believe its on Morrowind Summit, I havent checked to see if its on MWSource. What I would suggest is doing what Tor_Anders said and make your own mod, being the necromancer class, and getting the house.

I think you may be referring to the house used in the Illuminated Order. I believe at the end of their quests you can also become a lich and the whole thing is to do with necromancy.

The house I'm talking about is just the house by itself. The name is Necromancer Home. I couldnt find it on MWSource, but I just looked moments ago and it is on Morrowind Summit.

Well you could always try buying every summon spell in the game, mix em with some destruction spells and vola a bona fide necromancer.
