joesifter
Okay, so Nexus now has a Wabbajack clone. That's nice. Message received. Now, is there a way to permanently dismiss the banner that advertises it? I already got the message. There's no need to spam me with it again every time I visit. Guest deleted34304850
just block the element. there are browser addons that allow you to do this with no fuss.
Dark0ne
When you dismiss the banner it sets a cookie to make sure it does not show it to you again. If you delete cookies or prevent cookies from working then it won't work and you will see the banner permanently.
Pickysaurus
I will also point out, you may have faulty cookies from a previous iteration of the banner. You can try clearing your cookies (this will also log you out) then dismiss the banner again and it will stick.
joesifter
My feedback: This is an annoying implementation. Users shouldn't have to accept persistent cookies or resort to monkeying with CSS just to avoid being spammed. When a logged-in user dismisses a message, it should be saved as a user preference. I guess I'll just block Nexus banners. I was hoping to avoid that, since a banner containing a message I want to see might turn up some day. Guest deleted34304850
yes, its a lame implementation, but its not an all or nothing resolution. it's a single banner that can be blocked in about 2 seconds and the rest of the entire site remains untouched, including any/all other banners/ads/pictures and so on.
