chazo136
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but my IP 81.92.203.90 is banned from the Nexus Site? I used it yesterday and just did some downloads, this is a bit upsetting as I am paying for premium to uncap my downloads and now I can't access the main site. Dark0ne
That IP address was used by a spammer back in 2019 to try and sell counterfeit money. Since it has been 3 years I've removed the ban on the IP address.
chazo136
I see. I appreciate the quick action though I am unsure on why it was banned yesterday if it was used back in 2019 and I had no problems until yesterday.
Dark0ne
I assume you are on a dynamic IP address and not a static IP address, i.e. your IP address changes regularly depending on what your ISP gives you at any given time. This is pretty normal these days. This is all done without you knowing and you only find out when something like this happens.
chazo136
Ah that seems about right. I have noticed the IP changes occasionally, just my luck it picks a banned IP here. In the event this happens in the future, do I start another topic or is there somewhere else I should go to get this sorted next time?
Pickysaurus
Usually it's best to email [email protected] (including the blocked IP) and we'll look at removing it.
HeyYou
Either that, or log into your router, and have it release/renew the IP address. Sometimes, simply power cycling your router will do it as well. Just depends on how your ISP handles DHCP.
