Maharg67
[2] Growing Struggles in DC and Beyond [43.1][0053] The LittleFateObserver was active, was observing but not observed except by a very few! The SteelOrderhood gained many new Robotroopers being robotic humanoids based on SteelOrderhood type power armour suits. Hence they had differing types based on differing types of PASTs. Apart from the hard fighting Robotroopers there were protective Roboguards, medical Robomedics, tech service-support Robotechs, logistics Robopackers with armoured backpacks, and other kind of PARs, Power Armour Robots. Steelsappers, combat engineers, arrived at the Galaxy Broadcasting Tower to strengthen the Steelfollower Outpost there as well as to do some work for the radio broadcast service and Towertown. Steelguards fought off combined mutant forces of metamutants, supermutants, mutthounds and zyclops. Gun turrets blazed away, popping up to fire and dropping down to slide along monorails to a new locations before popping up again. Power armoured Steelguards operated heavy machineguns, small autocannons, rocket-grenade launchers and short missile launchers along with their more standard weapons. Even with heavily armoured behemoths there, each hauling a big, basic designed but powerful, shoulder-cannon, the mutants were soon being forced back over their own heaped dead and dying. A shoulder-cannon shell exploded, wiping out a larger Steelguard turret and wounding two Steelguards. Steelguard Major Shanz was far from fooled as he sat, in his power armour, studying the scene below the newly built battlements of the tower. "That was a testing attack. From reports coming in, the mutants are building up their forces in this area and appear to be preparing to go to the National Mall. Before that they seem to want to knock out the GBS but why?" Vicemajor Tabatha McKenzie spoke out, using helmet to helmet 2ways. "Perhaps they wish to take over this very tall tower to use it not only for broadcasting but for 2way radio communications. Another relevant question might be 'are the mutants working alone' and yet another might be 'just who, or even what, is leading them because reports indicate they have been spotted fighting other factions of wilder supermutants." Shanz shook his head, just a little, in wonder. "You have out thought me again, vicemajor! Perhaps you should be the major!" Tabatha responded matter of factly. "No, commander, for while I am good at strategies, I am no good at direct command or at least not as good at it as you are." Shanz nodded his whole helmet this time. "Well, what ever, we need to get the GBS Tower better prepared for defence, including Towertown. The Towertown Militia needs to be beefed up with training, equipment and supplies. Perhaps we can turn them into a more professional Militiaguard." Militiaguardsmen were generally better trained, equipped, supplied and otherwise supported than scattered militias were; or so went the Predoomsday theories of the now defunct US Ministry of Defence. Maharg67
[2] Growing Struggles in DC and Beyond [43.1][0053] The LittleFateObserver was active, was observing but not observed except by a very few! DocWho, a fighting fit male Timelord of famous infamy, stood in the oldest, traditional, command-control chamber of the WhoTARDIS. He was not showing his sonic-screwdriver. He spoke as he looked at a big viewscreen showing a great chamber outside. "Instruments indicate that we are inside an artificial transmultidimensional zone most likely more advanced than anything that we can create. Wow, might even be celestial in nature. Could explain the crazy nature of this whole dimensional reality!" ProfWho a female counterpart to himself, stood in her bib-bob overalls next to his snazzy clothed body. Her sonic-wand was concealed. Or at least he spoke of them in that manner, especially the bow tie, though not all agreed with him. She spoke. "Quasireality indicates strongly a celestial influence for who, what, else could achieve such a mad contradiction and somehow keep it stable?" WarWho was in Gallifreyan battle armour looking impressively menacing with his sonic-pistol holstered at his side. "Anticelestials might manage to create it but never to keep it stable!" TechWho was in coveralls dotted with pouch-pockets and large, sealable, pockets. Her sonic-multitool was partly in view being in a tube shaped pouch. She had a console floating high in front of her. "My refined instruments are picking up traces of what might be some kind of celestial deity! Aaahhh, yes, the LittleFateFamily is at work here but I only know that because they uploaded data into my system; so much for our security efforts." The TimeWar was still raging between the Timeguardians, Timemasters and the Timecrusaders of which the Timeguardians represented the Timelords based centrally on Gallifrey as was the Gallifreyan Empire. The Timemasters wanted the Timelords to dominate the universe for the worst of reasons while the Timecrusaders wanted the same but for supposedly 'noble' ones. Except that other forces had become involved in the TimeWar making the situation very much more complicated. Maharg67
[2] Growing Struggles in DC and Beyond [44.1][0054] The LittleFateObserver was active, was observing but not observed except by a very few! "Everyday Wastelands experience is the crazy smells, sounds and sights but more than that, ever changing and in a way not just dependent on one's location!" JackOman studied the settlement, of Andale, which seemed to have been almost magically rebuilt from the Hellsdemons' attempt to burn it down. "Here, now, that openly looks to be a normal settlement there is the spiritual psychic stench of antinaturalness." "Yes!" The LittleFateMarshal lay on her belly looking through a curious appearing pair of exotic binoculars that were far more than just that. They were on a small ridge overlooking the settlement where some humans seemed to be busy doing the sort of thing settlers normally did. "Shapeshifting doppelgangers have little imagination so they have taken up the characters of those humans who dwelt here many years ago, who were cannibals who were amongst those who found the bomb." There were other LawRegulators there, all in their rugged wastelands outfits of dusters and other gear. There were also three LittleFateOnes guised as Calamity Jane, Doc Holiday and Wild Bill Hickcok who were somewhat like both the Hollywood and real historical versions. They were, at the moment, classed as LittleFateDeputies. "The doppelgangers are copying the original settlement families of the Wilsons, the Smiths, the Browns and a few diverse others such as Old Man Harris. The real ones were killed, and devoured, by their own offspring of the mutating cannibals. The doppelgangers are not the real concern for they are mastered by an evil entity that is here that is what you can psychically sense the presence of. Yet it, in turn, is the puppet of another that is greatly more darker and powerful than it is." According to a map, as supplied by the LittleFateMarshal, there were the original buildings of Andale but also a few 'new' ones including a curious, half buried, black brick one that did not fit in well with the others. While the doppelgangers went to from sheds, houses, stables and a barn they kept well away from the black building that was quite isolated from the others. JackOman frowned hard. "Those doppelgangers are frightened, perhaps terrified!" The LittleFateMarshal sighed. "A very common sense reaction to a Shadozeman that is to be found inside that black brick building that is not that at all but a shapeshifting Shadozeboat able to transverse the dimensional barriers but only if assisted to do so. The important question is why for it is a celestial crime to come here from the dimensional realms that they have travelled from. Behind the Shadozeman is most likely a Shadozemaster or even a Shadozelord but it is better not to assume its identity though it is of the Shadoze and the Shadozen Empire! That is if one can truly call it an 'empire'; it is not so in any fashion that mortal humans would recognize it to be one." High overhead floated a cluster of 10 green-white striped parachute-crates. The LittleFateMarshal studied them through her amazing binoculars. "So far they have turned out to be positive but the Eternals are involved with this so what that Eternals Faction is truly up to except perhaps to alleviate their endless boredom. If so they are Negative Eternals on their way to a fatal ending unlike the Positive Eternals likely to gain ascension to the 'next level higher'. Another wave of parachute-crates has come to this region, as with far off ones, being this time of 3,000 units as it was last time. Perhaps people assumed the number would keep on climbing, consistently, but clearly it has not done so." They settled down, for now, to keeping watch on the site as darkness began to arrive in the form of dusk as it was doing all over the world at the same time. Maharg67
[2] Growing Struggles in DC and Beyond [45.1][0055] The LittleFateObserver was active, was observing but not observed except by a very few! So the parachute-crates were being sent by Eternals being one of the Eternals Factions but why? Sentinel Sarah staid in special command. Sasha kept running the LyonsPride Psychic Section. Sarah, and her sisters, had spent time together including the one who had gone off with Serenity. She was soon commanding the LyonsPride Forensics Section. Serena was expert in military security intelligence and so was soon managing the LyonsPride Intelligence Section. Samtha was best at service-support and so she came to command the LyonsPride Logistics Section. There were plenty of others in command who were not blood related and a very few who were. The Monomultiplexity became the base of LyonsPride from which they could easily reach a increasing range of locations in the WastelandsDC. SanctuaryDC was absorbed into the Monomultiplexity. A group of LyonsPriders visited to watch Lilly, the behemoth supermutant, doing an odd graceful dance that was greatly improved, and far less dangerous; this was because of the LittleFateMan and UncleLeo the enlightened supermutant. Sarah was there to represent both the LyonsPride and the SteelOrderhood. The stadium's stands were full mainly because large numbers of newly arrived refugees were coming every day, the amount increasing. After Lilly finished there were other entertainers be they singers, acrobats, psychic tricksters, Militiaguards showing off their expertise and so much else. After Lilly's happy departure, the very front rows filled up. A young children's choir was badly startled, along with their teachers, when there was a sharp flash of yellow-white golden light on the arena floor. There lay, prone, LawRegulators including JackOman, the LittleFateMarshal along with the LittleFateOnes, animals, now grey-green doppelgangers and a tall, pale white humanoid in black robes. There were also plants, and fungi, but they were not prone and they were in differing sized pots considering the size of what was in them. Even as people raced to reassure the choir, and to check on the figures, the LittleFateMan spoke. "A great blast of savage burning red-energies, hurling thousands of projectiles, decimated the settlement of Andale. The LittleFateObserver reports that Andale is truly gone now with a crater now taking up that same area. Its surface is hard, almost glassy, as it has been disintegrated into existence and also melted. Some force attacked the Shadoze there with brutal disregard for anybody else in the area but the LittleFateFamily is yet to learn who, what, did this. Trouble is there are too many candidates who both hate the Shadozen Empire and could have carried out such an attack." Maharg67
[2] Growing Struggles in DC and Beyond [45.2][0056] The LittleFateObserver was active, was observing but not observed except by a very few! The LittleFateMan studied the figures, on medibeds, through out the big chamber. That included bigger animals though the plants, and mushrooms, were doing fine in another chamber and smaller animals in yet another. All were medicated including some large radroaches, a radmole and a ghouler, savage feral ghoul; the last was not so savage anymore being in the process of becoming a more peaceful ghoulin type feral ghoul. He spoke. "The burning energies were countered by a flash of rainbow-yellow-white ones that helped save multiple lives but also transformed many of them. Look, the former doppelgangers are less dangerous doppelmangers, the former Shadozeman is now a Phalozeman, the former ghoulers are less crazed ghoulins with smoother, healthier, skin. The LittleFateMarshal drifts at the LittleFateCore that centers the whole of the LittleFateFamily which has been strengthened by the positive energies flash." He continued. "Rainbow-yellow-white energies indicate three, combined, coordinated, types of celestial entities working together being Rainba, Celestiba and Celestrial. All are extremely powerful though Celestrial is more so than Celestiba that is stronger than Rainba; yet, in reverse, each is stronger while being embedded in the mortal realms. This kind of celestial alliance is rare but far from unknown. Question is, what has brought them here, to this region of this world at this time?" The LittleFateMan did not need to voice the general concern of what was happening not just with those celestial entities but with other, potent, factions beyond mortal capacity and ability. Maharg67
[2] Growing Struggles in DC and Beyond [46.1][0057] The LittleFateObserver was active, was observing but not observed except by a very few! The great majority, of WasterlandersDC, were focused only on everyday existence, survival, even if they had longer plans and ambitions. Be they radraiders or settlers or nomadic tribals or more civilised ghoulmans or of a large number of other groupings, they were not aware of the terrible things happening and coming; that is except for such as the parachute-crates falling from the high sky, odd flashes of strange energies and a few others that overall, so far, made little impact on most. Sasha Lyons was just outside of the NecroHive, in her power armour, along with the LittleFateGirl who was wearing a pretty raincoat complete with hood thrown over her head. There was a 'sense' that this was symbolic of her being better prepared for trouble this time as did the double barrelled shotgun that she carried instead of her parasol; that floated, open, in the air above her. Sasha, who looked much like Sarah, spoke. "Still I psysense no danger, nothing antinatural." The LittleFateGirl nodded and did something that caused a energy gate to open before them being filled with swirling energies making it a kind of security filtration barrier. Then the two went through it followed by three LittleFateOnes as LittleFateGirlfriends who looked much like the LittleFateGirl. Then came a secondary combat squad of LyonsPriders for there were now three of them including the original one as led by Sarah herself plus some of Sasha's own people from the LyonsPride Psychic Section. What waited for them was a wonderful anticlimax! That is any threat was gone and a softly glowing, undeathly energies made, message was there for the LittleFateGirl to read. She spoke it aloud, translating the message as best even she could. "The NecroFateFamily, a kind of counter point to the LittleFateFamily, has acted here to try to deal with growing troubles that effect not only this world but the undeathly world of this multiworld. The troubles, of this multiworld, are linked to the very troubling nature of its existence and the paradox of how it came to exist. As yet 'they' would not have the LittleFateFamily provide you mortals, or those more like you, Sarah, with more direct answers but some clues have been earned and some lesser answers. The Eternals providing the parachute-crates are carrying out an act of redemption so as to help them move on to the next level of body-mind-spirit progression." The no longer NecroHive was much like the GoldHive in nature except that it held some deep secret research development projects from Predoomsday times. It also held some oddities, unexpected finds and things that would lead to shock for many of those who would confront them. So it was that access was, from the start, deeply restricted from that moment onwards until much was resolved. It became known as the SecuredHive. There was an aura about the SecuredHive that had most peoples along with other life and yet it was very hard to define just what it was that caused that reaction that ran all the way from light discomfort right through to terror. Maharg67
[2] Growing Struggles in DC and Beyond [46.1][0057] The LittleFateObserver was active, was observing but not observed except by a very few! In the Monomulticore, of the Monomultiplexity, was where the LittleFatePrime, as high leader of the LittleFateFamily, and its LittleFateFollowing of such as the LittleFateOnes, attended a vitally important meeting of an extremely rare kind. That LittleFateFamily had its 'fate' embedded in that of that multiworld for reasons both complicated and subtle. Appearing as a golden hoodrobed dignitary, it almost kind of smiled. "Qtinuum rogues have been detected coming to here being Qwars criminals on the run. The original Qlord is amongst them being both the curse and blessing of the Qtinuim." The Qenvoy there appeared like a winged bear with human like, gloved, hands and thickly padded shorts. The wings were folded up behind it. "Aaahhh, they called it just 'Q' back then when he stirred up the Borg, a very dangerous faction of assimilated-adapted, mostly humanoid, species. He had to be punished and so he was 'domesticated' by the then named Continuum. It was too late; his foolish acts, including that of meddling with the destiny of the Borg, had already set a chain of unfortunate events into action." There was a TimeEnvoy, of the Timelords of Gallifrey, that was one of the worlds of that multiworld though it was at its outer edge, dimensionally speaking. He was in a bulky, awkward, looking Timelord Elder suit. "There are officially renegade Timelords now inside this very Monomultiplexity. We TimeElders, and Timeguardians, were the ones to send them here but to the 'past'. Somehow they became diverted, trapped, perhaps tricked and only recently have they have been helped to escape by the LittleFateFamily." The LittleFatePrime responded. "No, not us, but a true celestial faction of some kind as represented by combined rainbow-yellow-white energies." These words caused a reaction, of carefully concealed concern, amongst those at the large meeting table. The Kardasher female, all of them were so though not their followers, looked bored as she examined the long nails of one of her six hands as joined to one of her six arms. Other than that she looked a good deal like a human woman except for the extra eye in her forehead, her silken skin, her living hair that flicked around in the air though not moved by anything else, and her short head horns; perhaps she was not that human appearing after all. She spoke with sophisticated, well mannered, boredom. "I suggest that somebody go over recent events that have taken place on this poor multiworld with its terrible lack of truly fashionable, cosmic, establishments." The others, around that great big round table, agreed including a shrunken representation of a galactic dragon, an Eternal Elder, the White Guardian, a transdimensional avatar of a white mouse and a few more. Maharg67
[2] Growing Struggles in DC and Beyond [47.1][0058] The LittleFateObserver was active, was observing but not observed except by a very few! Serenity, and her daughter Susie, watched huge vertiships land, with their gravity rotors spinning down to stillness, and Stormtroopers depart from them as neat formations of power armoured troopers came down lowered ramps; there were to the sides of the vertiships as from the rear came military vehicles and large battle robots. The pair were well concealed but still being very careful. They were reporting, when-where they could, to the SteelBrotherhood based in the Lost Hills of California. Serenity did not care for the SteelOrderhood but, partly thanks to Susie's influence, had sent a first report to the CitadelDC. Serenity's splintering from her husband, still officially married, was because of political differences and she had taken Susie, one of the Lyons Sextuplets, with her. Then there was the dreamlinking, lightly remembered as it was, that kept them linked to relatives along with a few others; that included her husband that she found much easier to be with in dreamlife than in real life, conceding that it was the same for him. Susie spoke. "The SteelOrderhood has gained technological upgrades, additions, and much else including numbers including reliable allies. Otherwise it would be greatly outdone by EagleEnclaven technologies. Look at all of those cloned soldiers including those cyborged deathclaws that are starting to show up. Would explain why they are so uniform in height and shape." Larger numbers, of smaller, cyborg clone killclaws began to show up but the big surprise was when Triquainstitute sythdroids began to appear but adapted to EagleEnclaven armouring, weaponry and other technologies. Serenity frowned. "Would explain why the EagleEnclavers did not go into NewBritain though they placed garrisoned forts along its borders. What else could they have obtained apart from that kind of synths?" The LittleFateGeneral was 'suddenly' there almost as if he had always been there and like the others was prone on his belly. He was in a head to foot CAST (Combat Armour Suit) with some power assistance or so was the appearance of it. Five LittleFateOnes were there as LittleFateSoldiers but were further back and crouching out of sight amongst some rocky outcrops. With them were an odd mix of companions of the two Lyons. The LittleFateGeneral spoke. "This EagleEnclaven Army is both a threat and a diversion from the main one to DC. The same can be said for the whole EagleEnclaven but this army is their major investment in invading WashingtonDC seeking a series of prizes; some of those come from a shady deal made with risky allies and, surprisingly, the Triquainstitute is far from the most troublesome. No, like a few other members of that conspiracy, they can trust-respect each other more than they can more exotic 'partners'." There is also the important factors of our own lacking, or limited, knowledge." They continued to observe until they retreated away, thanks to the increasing numbers of EagleEnclavers, and so they failed to watch the arrival of spaceships dropping off dalek, cyberman and sontaran forces but the LittleFateObserver did so!
