Umm, I think that is the question. How do I do that?

Mine is set to Stable because I have to be current. I bleed too easily for Beta.

Well said! However, my Vortex is set to "No updates" because otherwise I would exsanguinate. (I love words with Latin roots.)

Several of the users in our Discord are reporting that Vortex updated them today to 1.6.0 BETA without them being in the BETA track. Thought you should know that as I've seen you make this comment elsewhere. Have a good one.

You will need advice from someone higher up the chain if it is safe to roll back from this particular Beta.

Vortex has had a number of structural changes in it's history that meant no safe rollback. I don't think this is one of those cases - but that is just me.

here's how it works -

if you choose beta - and you download a beta version of the software, like 1.6, then you choose stable - - by design, it won't let you go back to the stable track because you're on beta software and - its trying to stop you from messing up your entire environment.

it's doing a good thing and stopping you from shooting yourself in the foot.

it actually tells you this, if you care to use your eyes and look at your notifications.

if you don't want beta software - don't choose it BEFORE you download it and install it. which you were also notified about.
