EnaiSiaion
NPCs don't follow through load doors unless the navmesh is re-finalized. Does it hurt anything to click that red V in an outdoors cell? Of course if someone else does the same then I'm SOL, but I assume they won't because I don't think many people will place buildings with doors in the middle of the volcanic lakes. Other than that, will any harm be done?

Hoamaii
I'm not 100% sure as I've only recently started using the CK to deal with navmeshes for a house mod, but my experience is it does not hurt anything to click on that red V, if the CK does not consider the navmesh finalized the warning will still pop up the next time you load your mod anyway. You may actually need to finalize several times depending on what you've modded. If you're dealing with a Wilderness cell which most others mods don't use - the worst that can happen is your users won't be able to take their followers across that cell's borders and they'll have to go around it. There's an easy way to finalize the navmesh though, it's to restore the Vanilla navmesh in your mod and drag it way underground where NPCs can't be affected byt it, that should allow you to finalize your navmesh for good if you've made sure border lines are green. In essence, you'll end up with 2 navmeshes on top of each other, yours and way underneath the Vanilla one - and the CK should stop asking to refinalize. There's also a way to force-finalize but I've never tried that.
EnaiSiaion
That wasn't my question. My question was whether it would cause issues to finalize a cell again so it will take into account newly placed doors.
Arthmoor
Generally, no, it won't cause you any trouble. You do need to keep in mind though that finalizing a cell will propagate changes to the 4 cells in each direction from the one you're editing. North/South/East/West. You'll end up with a total of 5, and potentially a lot more. Best bet is once you're done doing that, load the mod into TES5Edit and clean it. It will remove any dirty edits that result from finalizing, and there's usually a LOT more than just the 5 cells.
