maxx130
liking the new lines :) Quick question....will the player be able to make any comment on what Sofia says or is it just the way you present the lines in video? It seems like a well placed "Well..." or "...."(like you gave her and odd look or something) would make it a more funny situation. And to add to the flow of what Spydar59 was saying what if you didn't have anything on hand to dress her in and kept her in the blanket for abit? I'm sure you could come up with some funny line that Sofia would say.
djjohnjarvis
There are specific dialogue options to start up a conversation with Sofia but obviously standard follower comments wouldn't have this as it would be too much work to implement. It would also start to get annoying after a while getting prompted to say stuff, so it will be down to the player to initiate any proper two way conversations but there is plenty of social interaction to come. I know some people don't like conversations thrust upon them. And yes I do like that idea so we shall see.
jet4571
Whats worse than having an NPC badger you until you talk is being force greeted by them. Anyway thats a good choice to not always have the player prompted into a specific conversation unless it is quest related or her telling background information over a long period of time that only happens once. Vilja's telling the player about her background does that good, she will decide to tell you about herself but once she told you that part she wont ever do that one again. Her other discusions that are repeated can be highly annoying.
djjohnjarvis
Yea well there are no force greets at all. Even the quest dialogue I am currently doing is said as a comment and requires no involvement from the player. So she says the quest lines at a specific moment still but the player can wander about without being forced to listen or engage with her. The quest lines are one time only and I am currently implementing the main quest dialogue. You can ask about her and stuff though and she will say something different each time and it will also limit the amount of times. So she will start getting annoyed if you keep repeatedly asking her something. This includes general chat such as how are you? and also more personal questions where the player can choose to be rude or kind etc.
jet4571
Nice twist having her get annoyed with the player for repeating dialogue.

djjohnjarvis
So who's fed up of there being no mods that allow other people to enchant your items? Well I have a nice surprise for you as an upcoming feature for Sofia might just allow her to really enchant your weapon. I have made a custom enchanting system that I will probably integrate with Sofia and then shortly after make as a standalone mod. At the moment it is basic and allows a combination of multiple fire, frost and shock effects and the ability to name the enchanted item. With this custom system it is effectively limitless as I can make any number of enchantment combinations, even ones that are incompatible. I will of course add in more enchantments but I wanted to start off simple. Check it out in this short video clip where I have my custom enchanted sword that both freezes and burns:
maxx130
Awsome is all I can say, but I gather you need to have the enchating tree maxed out to use this? or is it all sofia doing the enchanting. I myself don't add perks to the enchanting tree, and only get the bonus's during quests or reading the books.
