porkchopdre
Im having the same issue as a few others , when using resource hacker , after compiling script and saving , when trying to run XComEW.exe i get the error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)." I also tried just editing the DefaultGameCore.ini (Install Path\XEW\Engine\Config) , i started a new game and my changes were not there. ( I also changed the cost of the satellites to 1$ just to test) Im new at all this so i dont really know what the issue is.
Krazyguy75
Did you run it once before trying? You need to run it once first, IIRC. And that config is unused (unless you make the proper hex changes), just like the one in EU.
porkchopdre
I did run the game at least one before , started a new game and ran a few missions before I made changes to the DefaultGameCore.ini

UberJumper
I don't know if this will help anyone but I updated the XCOMModHelper to support XCOM Enemy Within: https://github.com/fperks/xcom-mod-helper For Enemy Within the only thing it is setup to do is to patch XCOMEW.exe to make it so it reads DefaultGameCore.ini from XEW/XCOMGame/Config folder without needing Modpatcher. It makes a single modification to the executable, and then any changes done to DGC will show up, without needing modpatcher. wghost81
I don't know what they've changed in EU patch, but flanked+overwatched bug is still there. May be they fixed teleporting bugs, but I haven't played it much. Release date for EW is 11/15/13 in my region, so I decided to dig in new patch files for now. And I'm a little disappointed. For one: why release patch without a change log? Can't seem to find one...

porkchopdre
The file size after running the modhelper is the same as before I ran it , 26,994 KB It does say the Patches Applied Successfully after I run the command " XCOMModHelper -g EW -c EWConfig.xml "
