There should be some sort of filtering for images.

I rarely bother to look at the images people post on the front page for either version of Skyrim. Its nothing but porn. Looking at it just now, which I rarely do, I saw an interesting image of a giant. That got me thinking, I would probably be looking at that section far more if I could filter out all the repetitive garbage and just see the genuinely interesting things.

Besides, I'm tired of seeing that stuff whenever I have 'hide adult mods' enabled. If I can hide adult mods, then why can't I hide other adult content? Don't you think that would drive people away from the site?

I realize this site is primarily about mods, and its not hard to evade the image section down below, but if the site is willing to host such content then they could at least do more to moderate it. Again, I rarely feel inclined to look at it myself due to its content, which is surely drowning out the people who want to upload genuinely interesting screen shots. I dislike accidentally scrolling down too far and seeing that content when I have adult mods hidden. And a lot of people, including most women I would presume, would clearly prefer to never be exposed to such stuff.

If you're going to let people host images on this site, at least give users a way to filter out the porn. Besides, let's be real here, its cheap and extremely repetitive. I'd much rather see more images like that giant screenshot that was uploaded than what is normally seen there.

My image section is nothing but pics of women in bikinis. I've tried to just block all the users uploading such, but it seems that they're the only ones uploading images. Every time I block the ones I see, they just get replaced with more. Why am I getting these images when I'm not a premium member? Clearly something is wrong. Also, there seems to be no way to report an image without going to its page. Hovering over an image only gives me an option to view it, and some of the stuff I'm seeing is highly questionable, such as that one unmentionable video in the 'most popular' section for LE that seems to have been there for years now. I am most certainly not going to click on a link with a name like that for any reason. I don't even ever want to click on that tab, let alone the link itself.

it seems you have no idea what "porn" is.

don't like it, don't click it. or pull a Matthew 18:9 and see if that works.

That's not porn, you'd see that sort of attire in most countries in the summer.

These are the guidelines, if anything in the red area is on display then report it Adult Content Guidelines - Nexus Mods Site Help

I am seeing images that clearly violate those guidelines, such as women with their butts completely exposed and others of women in obviously suggestive poses. Most though wouldn't technically violate the rules. The point still stands though that if I have such content blocked for mods, then why are they not blocked for images? You can't look at the page for the Spice Gear Set if you have adult mods disabled, but you can still see even more revealing images in the images tab (other than the page that gives Spice Gear bodyslide files anyway, which obviously makes no sense).

Ok so I want to point out that you're talking about two completely different sections of the site.

The image share section has it's rules, and the mod uploads sections has it's own rules too.

That section is much more lenient, as far as what the modder can upload to their own mod page.

Emphasis: The modder can upload to their own mod page.

Because of that, you can't lump the two of them in together.

Trust me. The image share sections of the site has had a very, very, very long controversy. There's been constant changes about what is allowed there, what is not. There's been lots and lots of users that have been suspended, or banned for not following those rules.

The staff does review those reports. And if there's a disagreement, it goes into discussion.

Trust me, I understand where you're coming from. And I do admit that there's an issue. There's always been an issue tho. When one issue gets solved... society changes, ideology changes, morality changes, and then causes a whole slew of new issues.

Softcore pornography is rampant in some areas on Nexus. You'd have to be blind to deny it. I don't play Skyrim but Oblivion's image section regularly gets these kinda images. It is painfully obvious that they are intended to be sexually arousing, one recent image collection for Oblivion is even named "Busty monday". Scroll down to the bottom to see the model spread her legs for the camera. What about some fetish attire?
While it's true that none of the images expose the parts seen in the Adult Content Guidelines it's still a glaring breach of the "Sexualized Content" section of the guidelines.

Explicit sexual content depicting or describing the stimulation of sexual organs, sexual penetration or ejaculate.

Implicit sexualisation e.g. characters positioned in sexually suggestive poses.
Depictions of e.g. sex toys, fetish attire, preservatives, or other items typically associated with sexual activity.

Skyrim's image section is even worse. What the hell even is this? Boom, lingerie!

If you don't think Nexus hosts porn, you're in denial.

Sigh, no I'm not denying that there's adult content on this board. This isn't supposed to be Lover's Lab though, and there are ways you can keep the site from showing you certain mods. This doesn't apply to images however. I'm fully aware it could be worse, but that doesn't change the fact that you can block mods that show women in these ludicrously tiny bikinis but you can't do so for images. I mean, we literally have a 'not safe for work' tag, but you can't apply that to images which makes zero sense. You can't even go to the main page of Skyrim without the data for those images being automatically loaded. Why is it even on the front page? At least make it so you only see mods when you're looking up mods, only see news when you're looking up news, and only see images when you're specifically looking for those!
