Far from the godly artifacts of immense power the lore dictates that they are.First of all, they should be much harder to acquire, whether that be through a higher level requirement or some seriously revamped questsSecondly the should be weapons without equal, no weapon should really be as good as these - why would a god-like being give his champion a second rate weapon?Third you should be the envy or adversary of all! You should be frequently challenged or hunted for the daedric power you carry - having more than 2 artifacts at any one time should mean CONSTANT harassment from droves of cultists and vigilantes.Finally you should NOT be able to attain all of the artifacts on one character, having say Dawnbreaker and the Ebony Mail would be contradictory. Xander9009 Posted November 17, 2013 Share Posted November 17, 2013 I can agree with most of that. The only thing I wouldn't agree with is being unable to get them all at once. Some of them, maybe. But Dawnbreaker is your reward for clearing out Meridia's temple. There's nothing that says you have to be good in order to do that. Anyway, yeah, they should be much harder to get and much more powerful. I really like the idea of being challenged for them. it'd make things much more interesting. I also think each artifact should have a different frequency of challenges. Lots of people might be interesting in the Ebony Blade whereas not so many would care THAT much about Azura's Star. I can't do much about the quests, but the NPCs you have to face in order to get the items could easily be made more powerful. In the case of quests like Meridia's, they could easily and realistically be made more numerous, too. And making them more powerful could be as easy as boosting the enchantments and maybe making them all unlimited. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The only real contradiction in terms of having 2 daedric artifacts at the same time would be to have Boethiah's Ebony's mail and the mace of Molag Bal. And also, stronger artifacts. A simple daedric weapon a mortal man crafted is better than that of a deadric god's? That is a joke or something :/ For example, I want my Ebony Blade to be upgradeable endlessly, as I slay my companions.Ebony mail and Spellbreaker's armor ratings should be way higher than daedric/dragonbone gear. Has anyone here honestly think that Spellbreaker and Saviour's Hide as decent items? I mean, they are like regular grade useless enchanted weaponry you find in random dungeons or something :/Dawnbreaker's fire damage enchantment should be way better.A Mace of Molag Bal with better damage stat.An endlessly tempering Staff Of Corruption. At least, not without redoing them almost completely. But I actually just posted recently in the Soul Caliber thread a way to make an infinite absorb health.
