If you run version 1.5, then you should install the Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch and go download FO3Edit and run the MasterUpdate mode from FO3Edit on all of your loaded files. For this, you have to copy and paste the FO3Edit.exe in the same directory, so that a copy exists and then rename it to FO3MasterUpdate.exe But do NOT run the FO3Edit.exe, FO3MasterUpdate.exe or FO3MasterRestore.exe from the Data folder from your Fallout 3 installation...any other directory is okay, but not the Data folder. Next to this, you won't need to copy the Fallout3.Hardcoded.esp into your Data folder, which is delivered with FO3Edit. Only FO3Edit needs it. And finally, after doing this, load all of the Fallout 3 Unofficial Patch files after the SP_Destruction - Containers A.esp in your load order. That should fix many of your problems. I did that and Fallout 3 only crashes sometimes now when it autosaves. But I can play 2 or more hours without problems. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

UK? ...i don't know) but the language ingame is german and some texts are english. 1.4.0.6 is a german patch and workes fine but i tried three different german versions of v1.5 and everytime the patch didn't work. Also when i try to install FOSE i get the message that i have an unknown version of fallout 3. a friend of mine installed fallout 3 (english) on my pc and i believe it was english since i installed a german blood patch^^. whatever... i removed the blood patch but the german language stayed. :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Maxunit Posted May 21, 2009 Share Posted May 21, 2009 You have a totally screwed up version from Fallout 3... You should totally re-install it with a proper DVD copy... I assume you are native german, if you install a partly german language patch and bloodpatch, which is not required for a version, which is US or UK, since those versions are uncut. But if you play around with a EN/US or EN/UK version from the game and install a german language patch or use the german version and install a bloodpatch, then no patch on the whole wide world will work on those copies, since they are mixed versions and the patcher application won't be able to detect the proper version. You should stay with the US or UK version from the game anyway, because mods, which require FOSE, do not work with other copies, since the FOSE team will not write proper FOSE versions for those versions. Has to do with copyright reasons and that the exe files from non-us and non-uk versions use a copy protection system within the fallout3.exe.
