Some problems I'm having(I have MGSO)

I have a quicksave file which I think may be corrupted since it won't load and crash the game at the ''Initializing Data'' step when loading. Problem is my last save file before it is far behind(I tried loading it and works fine). Can I somehow ''clean'' this save file?

Alternatively, can you check if it works in your game? I've uploaded the file in the following link: http://www.speedyshare.com/ZKCVc/quiksave.ess

PS: I tried running the ''tes3cmd'' from the folder called ''Save Cleaning'' appearantly added by MGSO. I got to take a brief look at what seemed like the dos command box(or whatever it's called) and I assume it did its thing but my save file still won't load.

Another problem I'm dealing with is the fact that my character can't cast spells. He was never really good at magic, but at least he could cast very low end Resurrection spells. At some random point in the game, even this was taken away and my character can't cast any spells based on Magicka consumption. That is to say any items and abilities work just fine.

Thanks in advance. :3

Can you provide a direct download link? I'd be happy to look at it for you, but not if it means installing some special program to do so.

One thing I can recommend, though, is that you install Wrye Mash and try using it's save game repair tool. It could help. You can get Mash here.

Do you happen to know any other programs can help me properly clean save game files without using Wyre Mash? My first character save game has been in effect for nearly 100 hours and I had to create a new game so I would have no issues with installed mods!!!

You could get your hands dirty with the third party editor Enchanted Editor. But that really needs some knowledge of Morrowind records and subrecords. Really, Mash is the best choice. What's your problem with it?

I used tes3cmd and it worked quite well on many of the issues I had plaguing my Morrowind game. The disadvantage is until I can properly clean my old save games is that I had to create a new game. At this point, the current conflicts are minimal.

Mr. Dragon32, I would really like to give Enchanted Editor a try, but every time that I click on the executable, nothing happens! I am the kind of IT tech that enjoys challenges for fixing problems. Do you or any other forum member happen to have a decompressed version of the program that I could use for Morrowind? Maybe a different link to get it without the built-in decompressed executable file? Any help is always greatly appreciated!!!

Most everything is working well in the game, but now every time I want to talk to a character, they want me to change them back! Any suggestions for fixing it?
