IronMannequinMrkXXI
Would it be possible? Apparently Minecraft was possible, because when I created a file to initiate my request for the new site, it got accepted and is now a new site. So, would we be able to make a Garry's Mod Nexus, because of the seemingly complex way that their "Dupes" or Duplicate Creations are hosted on the Steam Workshop solely? Dark0ne
Add the game, add a file (that you have permission to add, obviously), and I'll confirm it. That's how it works now!

That's how it works now!I was wondering how we would get the Dupes into the game after downloading them, especially if the Site would ever get a spot on the Mod Manager. Edit: Besides, I have no files to add, and I wouldn't want to send in another Game Request right now because you seem to have enough on your plate without configuring a whole new site. Dark0ne
Ah, if manual downloads won't work then that's more complex, and far less likely to happen. I don't use Gary's Mod so know nothing about modding it.
keizerdoc
By the way, 90% of the mods for Garry's Mod are stolen from other people/developers. So you're going to get busy.
Vindekarr
Yes. Sadly a lot of content in Garry's mod is directly pirated from other games. I remember being shown a car mod a while back and being horrified to discover the entire thing was pirated from a console game, the modder had simply attached their name to it and started bragging about how they'd programmed the entire thing. Personally I think this is a game The Nexus should probably stay away from-it's got one of the most unpleasant, immature and childish communities I've ever seen(constant griefing and lame troll attempts) and a culture of content piracy. Thandal
One of the recognized and stated consequences of Dark0ne's decision to allow "mods for all games", is that those player/modder-created communities will have to police themselves. As long as bad behaviour isn't rewarded, all is well. Otherwise, there's always the "Report" button... and the Banhammer. :whistling:

I agree with that, the nexus should be at least very observant of such a nexus of Garry's Mod. I have had to deal with these... immature - to say it nicely - people on a regular basis a while ago and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. I'd rather see them far from the nexus, we have enough trouble with the immature here.
IronMannequinMrkXXI
Yeah, maybe make a Blacklist for the Modder/Player-created communities to block certain phrases, so Garry's Mod is auto-not-allowed. We don't need that kind of community, I've seen too many forums and sites get corrupted by a new generation or a migration of a bad community to one site to another.
