Tehandyman
Hey guys, so a little more than six months ago, I was on the team for the City of Scum mod that was never created. However, another contributor for that mod, Artparker, created a level design for a completely different mod called Pirate's Cove. I got to take a look at his work and I thought it would make a very awesome mod. Here are some pictures I took and then I'll talk a bit more about the mod itself. See the full album here <--- 8 full resolution photos! http://i.imgur.com/7XNaM7nl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/qUjRaeDl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Wu92o7cl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/qFlqQbql.jpg So basically the idea of the mod is very similar to City of Scum, this little town is basically where all the scumbags of the sea wash up. Its where pirates, thieves, beggars, skooma addicts, and shady underworld types go to gamble, drink, and do business, away from the prying eyes of the law. The town's location is very special too. Its located on the northeastern coast of Skyrim in a little inlet. Its the perfect spot for sailors traveling between Solitude, Windhelm, Blacklight, and Solstheim to stop and enjoy themselves, restock on supplies and trade with others. The town itself is basically fully created, thanks to Artparker. None of the doors work because there are currently no interior spaces. If anyone wants to help get this mod rolling again. With a large array of NPC's and interior spaces, I believe this mod can be release worthy, we can go about scripting quests and unique voice acting later on after release and after player feedback. I also think it should include a NPC with a boat docked at Solitude and Windhelm who can take you to Pirate's Cove for a bit of gold, because it honestly is a very hard to access place if you don't use fast travel. I can do some scripting, NPC, and custom texture work but level design is not my forte I'd attach the mod to this post so you guys could see it for yourselves but the mod doesn't belong to me, it belongs to Artparker and until I get his permission I don't know if I can upload it. So tell me what you think guys! I would really love to see this mod come to fruition! Edited December 8, 2013 by Tehandyman
jdude97
For what it's worth, I'd help. There's not many pirate-themed mods, so it'd be pretty cool to see this finished. Edited December 8, 2013 by jdude97
TaeRai
Seems very cool! I might be able to lend a hand with interiors :)
AndyTheLegend
Hey awesome! btw, its tehandyman, I'm switching over to this account from now on just letting people know. I've already gotten started on some non-unique NPC's (sailors, beggars, thieves, pirates) There are also some vendor stalls already included in the map so I will also be making some vendors as well :)

Korodic
I'm considering making a true pirate themed mod.I dunno about new lands, but sea-based skirmishes are definite. When I was making a mod called Night Terrors (never finished) I had a full working pirate dream. Turned out to be pretty fun. :D
AndyTheLegend
I've contacted Artparker a few times without response so until he can give us the go-ahead, we really have nothing official. I did start doing some work, but unless I can get him on board, it won't be of much use. Edited December 13, 2013 by AndyTheLegend
