Ironman5000
Silent Hill from 1 to 4 had some good tracks, not mention the atmospheric music Devil May Cry had awesome adrenaline-pumping fight music Halo for the obvious reasons Fable (original) had great fantasy themed tracks Half-Life 2 The Metal Gear Solid series has to win the dramatic scores award in my opinion Golden Axe is still catchy to this day, I have a metal cover of Wilderness as my ringtone Soul Reaver "Raziel's Clan Territory" A lot of Bethesda related music from MW, Oblivion, FO3. and Skyrim The Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog music never got old Final Doom had good title and end music
3gamad
Super Mario of course! Main theme and the underground one. Main theme is one of the most memorable game music I've ever heard and it pops into my head for no reason from time to time. :)
darkgondul
As for me: -The Divinity series made it by Kirill Pokrovsky. -The Gothic themes made it by Kai Rosenkranz. -The Witcher songs. -The Dragon Age: Origins main theme made it by the amazing Corvus Corax group. SSGB21
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 (Time, Darkness and Sky) all have fantastic music (Credits, In the Hands of Fate, etc.), Halo has an amazing soundtrack as does The Elder Scrolls, Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and also Black/White and Black 2/White 2 and Shadow of the Colossus all have great soundtracks, but my favourite soundtrack comes from MOTHER 3. This is one of the reasons that it is my favourite game of all time with music like Letter from You; Monkey's Love Song; The Peddler's Grand Speech; A Master, A Father, A Thief; Volcano! Inferno!; Drago!?; Pollyana; F-F-Fire!; 16 Melodies; Phantasmagoric; His Highness' Theme; etc.
Passb
Silent Hill 2 GTA Vice City Dragon Age Origins Skyrim Dead Space 1 Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX and X Absolutely Silent Hill 2. Akira Yamaoka is a genius in creating intense and horrifying music that suits the SH series perfectly. While the first SH has my favorite soundtrack, the first four installments of the series have some of the greatest and scariest video game music ever. Apart from SH2, other great games with incredible soundtracks include Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, Secret of Mana and the original Mass Effect. I remember years ago when Mass Effect first came out I was so obsessed with the game and the soundtrack a friend bought the entire OST collection from the game for my birthday. feenixfly
Probably the most beautiful gaming soundtracks I've heard is from Journey by Austin Wintory. Hands down. Some other ones I love are of course, works by Jeremy Soule and also works by Jesper Kyd of the Assassin's Creed series.I also enjoy works from Jack Wall and Peter Gabriel in Myst III and Myst IV. :)
