Ranger910
Dont know if this has been mentioned yet but...Tony Hawk pro skater 2 has by far, the best soundtrack everrrrrrr.....Fallout 3 is top notch also albeit rather repetitive.
AWarGuy
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 1 had some amazing music, Hell's March? Hell yeah!
Deleted1217574User
I always thought Guitar Hero had a pretty good soundtrack =D Nah, really, if I had to pick a series... Probably Final Fantasy. X and VII had some excellent music. Fire Emblem has a great soundtrack too.
Deleted1217574User
In my opinion... I hated the soundtrack for FO3, but thought it was interesting in that it had more... Fitting music. It sounded like stuff they'd listen to, as if it was actually part of the game, rather than just an extra layer, if that makes any sense. Zorf
I've always found that the music of final fantasy 6 is my personal favorite. It evokes so much emotion, even for the SNES, which has some incredible soundtracks already. Just listen to this and then try to tell me I'm wrong. Mahtawa
Final Fantasy 6GTA :Vice City Well FF games always had more or less great music up to recent games (after X) where epicness turned to jpop-disco-electronic-ear-poisoning-infection. There are many games with great music but these two gets my top tier votes. Vice City has.. probably most epic soundtracks ever.

NottheAdoringFan
Being an old school gaming junkie, as well as a fan of obscure games, I think Tombs and Treasure from the NES era has a beautiful soundtrack, as well as ActRaiser from SNES. TheDan92
My Top 10 (more like 15, but meh.) 1) GTA3, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas - this game gave me my musical education; without it, I would have never got a taste of rock, classic hip-hop, funk, disco, dance, metal... In general, I would have missed out on the ENTIRE GOLDEN AGE of modern music.2) X3 Reunion - proper space music for a proper space game.3) Oblivion - fits perfectly with the fantasy setting. 4) Most COD games - music threw me right in the action (All Ghillied Up FTW)5) S.T.A.L.K.E.R and METRO 2033 tied together - amazing ambiental music.6) Mass Effect 1&2 - I don't think there's ANYTHING I DON'T like about ME series.7) Halo Combat Evolved - probably the only HALO game with such amazing music.8 ) Half-Life 2 - grim, dark, haunting.9) Fallout 3 - The game that brought my love of 30s American music.10) Need For Speed Hot Pursuit (2006) - fantastic techno on that one (too bad HP2010 has such pathetic songs) Edited January 14, 2011 by TheDan92
