jared11ist
So vortex asked me to overwrite a bunch of files. I thought nothing of it cuz I just installed a bunch of new files containing textures so I thought it needed to overwrite with the new files. Little did I know this action DELETED 90% of my 500+ mod setup and all their plugins. I assume there's no way I can retrieve these files?
showler
You'll need to be more specific. But Vortex rarely deletes files. It usually either deploys them or purges them from the game folders and you can usually replace them simply by redeploying again.
jared11ist
I believe it said the process was going to delete 750 files or something along those lines. But it also had the words overwrite so I didn't think that's exactly what it'd do. Also deploying, the bar that filles up during the deploying process shows all my mods as it fills up. But none of my plugins remain
jared11ist
If the removed the mods are removed from the game folders can they be found somewhere else? Or will I have to manually go through my 500+ mods on the mods tab and hit reinstall on all of them to get their plugins back?

showler
All the mods should still be in the deployment folder, unless you asked Vortex to both disable and delete the mods. And that should require at least one confirmation box. Does your "mods" tab still show the mods, but with a "disabled" status?

showler
I'd try doing a "purge" and then a "deploy". If that doesn't work, try using CTRL-A to highlight all the mods and choose the "disable" option in the pop-up at the bottom and then use the "enable" option. It should remember all your install settings.

Faythnu
Odd. NMM deleted all my mods. If I hit a "wipe everything" button in NMM, I am unaware of it. One second there they were, the next, poof! Gone! This was the main reason I switched to Vortex! So far Vortex is staying true to me.
