CLB1110
I understand what debating is, but I dont understand why he deleted my post. I told Chaosmaker to speak enlish because I couldnt read what he typed, and ive seem many other people say things like that.
Switch
Other people have commented on other's English use yes. But that's not all you said and your post also came across as having a generally hostile tone. Please take this to PM and stop derailing this topic. Stanhead
Before I start, I'd like to apologise for starting of this little argument by jokingly saying Halo was crap. I should've backed up what I said. OK, back to the actual subject at hand. Halo 2 was, in my opinion, a very repetitive shooter. It was the same thing again and again. Run, shoot, run, shoot, shoot some more. I just didn't like it. There wasn't much variety. There were very few weapons to shoot, enemies to fight, and vehicles to, er, look at. It would've been nice to get to drive vehicles a bit more, and maybe have some more powerful weapons. I found it very frustrating shooting an enemy, using most of my ammo, and still having him turn around and kill me. The game just wasn't fun. It was like BattleField: Vietnam meets back to the future.
CLB1110
Well if you want me to give an opinion of Halo here it is... This game falls flat on its face. The graphics are below average. The musical score is to put it bluntly, crap. The storyline is one of the dumbest I have seen in years. The online play hardly improves on the game. Sure you can play co-op with a friend, but they dont even change the cutscenes so you still only see one master chief. Youll find yourself saying "What the hell happened to my character? He just freakin dissapeared!". I thought that was a big mistake and a total lack of dedication on bungie's part. The controls were the only part of the game I could stand, but controls dont make a game. This game is one of the reasons I dont like the FPS genre. Lack of detail, shalow gameplay, and the rest of the crap makes this game a total waste of time, and money. This is the same thing I wrote in the Halo review page, but some of you might not have saw it......
Dark0ne
The graphics are below average ... The storyline is one of the dumbest I have seen in years. Utter non-sense. I preferred Halo 2's graphics to Half-Life 2, which I think is an extremely over-rated game. Take away Half-Life 2's pyshics engine, and the name of the game and you're left with another generic FPS with another below average plotline. It's not going to ruin my playing experience knowing that my Master Chief isn't going to be in the 10 second cut-scenes. OH NOES!!!111oneoneone. CLB1110
I have never played Half Life 2 so I cant argue with you there. Have you even played Doon III or Guildwars? Halo 2 doesnt even come CLOSE to the graphics in either of those games. Who gives a damn about not being able to see your character in cutscenes? I do. As I said before it is a lack of detail on Bungies part.

That, and Halo 2 puts out on average about 3/4 times as many on screen enemies at once than Doom 3 and its '2 at a time!' philosophy. Personally, I really don't care much for Halo 2s graphics. Sure, they look good at times but it just seems so forced, as if they spent 6 months rendering textures then realised they'd not figured out the HUD or written a proper ending yet. That Splinter Cell 3 pisses all over it in appearance terms is, well, just embarrassing.
CLB1110
Chaos Theory does have some very well done graphics. I personally prefer Guildwars. It has the most beautiful graphics I've ever seen. The landscapes look like artwork and the lighting is amazing.

Half-Life 2 had an extremely complicated storyline. It would take hours to write it all out. The story was greatly improved from Half-Life 1. Switch
I have to agree with Stanhead here. For an FPS, Half-Life 2 had a very good storyline. Not a scratch on what you get in RPGs, of course, but for an FPS, the most complex storyline I've come across. Halo's storyline wasn't too bad, but it was still quite simplistic. Halo 2's wasn't too bad, although ridiculously short. Neither were a scratch on Half-Life 2 IMO. As for the graphics, yes maybe they don't completely match up to Halo's. However, it does have physics, which is amazing enough to make the lack of "ooo pretty shinies" irrelevant methinks. The graphics are still above average at the moment.
