Dark0ne
Hi folks, I'm looking for feedback on an issue we thought we'd resolved but apparently haven't for certain individuals. Our download logging and endorsing system works by only logging a download once you have fully finished and completed a file download. So, if you start a download and then cancel/it fails then the download is not counted and you won't see it in your download history. Our endorsing system requires that a file is present on your download history page (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/history/?) in order for you to be able to endorse it. If it's not showing on that page, you cannot endorse a file. The problem, as it's being reported to me, is that people are fully downloading files, installing them and what not, but they're not showing on their download history pages and ergo the files can't endorsed. I need to collect the reports and get concise, accurate data on the problem and how to reproduce it because right now I can't. If you are experiencing this issue I need the following information from you: Are you downloading your files manually through your browser or are you using NMM? If you're using another mod manager like Mod Organizer then let me know.If through the browser, what browser are you using? Is this happening for all files or just certain, particular files? If it's happening for all files, when was the last time this worked for you (check your download history page and tell me the "Last download" date)If it's only happening for specific files, which files?Does it happen all the time no matter what file you download? How many files have you tried? And they all failed to show in your download history? What file server are you downloading from? I need to know the specific file server.Have you tried changing your location settings in NMM to ensure you download from a completely different server/area? Does it work if you download from another area? Are you Premium or non-Premium (simply posting here will answer that question). If you can respond here, in this thread, with answers to all those questions it'll go a long way to helping us fix this issue. I'm only looking for feedback on this one very specific issue. If you post here about issues unrelated to this one I'll simply delete it as I want to keep this thread clean. Thanks for your time. Shadeybladey
Are you downloading your files manually through your browser or are you using NMM? If you're using another mod manager like Mod Organizer then let me know.Manually. Never with a Manager. If through the browser, what browser are you using?IE 11 (I hate it!)Is this happening for all files or just certain, particular files?Just certain files from time to time.If it's happening for all files, when was the last time this worked for you (check your download history page and tell me the "Last download" date)Last download was an update to Provincial Courier Service, 21:19, 16 Dec 2013. There is a gap with no downloads recorded between 24th November and 4th December, 2013, but I definitely downloaded Sneak Tools on November 29th. I'll have to check for any others. If it's only happening for specific files, which files?Does not seem to be specific.Does it happen all the time no matter what file you download? How many files have you tried? And they all failed to show in your download history? No. It has happened a few times before, but this time it's just anything downloaded in the 9 days between November 24th and December 4th (not inclusive)What file server are you downloading from? I need to know the specific file server.I usually use the Premium Server in Kent, but sometimes others.Have you tried changing your location settings in NMM to ensure you download from a completely different server/area? Does it work if you download from another area?I do not ever use NMM.Are you Premium or non-Premium (simply posting here will answer that question).Life-Time Premium.~.~
Shadeybladey
I downloaded quite a few updates between those two dates, which were already endorsed, but I also cannot endorse these as they do not appear in my Downloads History: Ghosu - Helmets _ Bone Shield and Tribal Staff by Ghosu http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/43293/ Riverwood Home - EXTERIOR HOUSE - by AussieICON http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27958/ Riverwood Home by RyyZan http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24072/ Cheers! ~.~
JimboUK
Are you downloading your files manually through your browser or are you using NMM? If you're using another mod manager like Mod Organizer then let me know.Manually downloading and installing, use NMM for enabling, disabling and load order only.If through the browser, what browser are you using?Chrome Version 31.0.1650.63 mIs this happening for all files or just certain, particular files?Seems to be a random. If it's happening for all files, when was the last time this worked for you (check your download history page and tell me the "Last download" date)No, in fact the few files I've downloaded over the last few days have been added to my history. If it's only happening for specific files, which files? It happened here http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/54478/? and on another one that I can't provide a link for because the New Vegas site has just died. They were added when I redownloaded them later in the day.Does it happen all the time no matter what file you download? How many files have you tried? And they all failed to show in your download history?I've not noticed a pattern. What file server are you downloading from? I need to know the specific file server.I'm pretty sure one was Kent, I remember it being the only Premium option because the others were all syncing.Have you tried changing your location settings in NMM to ensure you download from a completely different server/area? Does it work if you download from another area?N/AAre you Premium or non-Premium (simply posting here will answer that question).Edit: the other file it happened on recently... http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/54454

llloyd
Are you downloading your files manually through your browser or are you using NMM? If you're using another mod manager like Mod Organizer then let me know.In this case, I tried both NMM and my browser and both failed to show up in my Download History. If through the browser, what browser are you using?ChromeIs this happening for all files or just certain, particular files?Seems to be only Helgen Reborn - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35841 If it's happening for all files, when was the last time this worked for you (check your download history page and tell me the "Last download" date)N/A - Just the one it seems. If it's only happening for specific files, which files?Only seems to be happening with Helgen Reborn - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35841Does it happen all the time no matter what file you download? How many files have you tried? And they all failed to show in your download history?Once each, downloaded it with NMM, played it, liked it, went to endorse it and couldn't, downloaded it manually, waited over night, tried to endorse it and failed. Then I came here. What file server are you downloading from? I need to know the specific file server.NMM I don't know, it's pretty random which servers it uses. Manual I always pick San Jose as it's the closest to Los Angeles. Have you tried changing your location settings in NMM to ensure you download from a completely different server/area? Does it work if you download from another area?Didn't know that feature existed, so, no didn't try that, but given NMM downloads from all over the world it's likely NMM did some place on the opposite side of the world. >.<
jayemef
I was using the manager. I always use the manager when possible, and have only gotten this issue once. n/a (but I prefer Chrome) This only happened once. Pretty sure it was because I paused the download, left it for a day, and restarted it the next day. n/a (but I downloaded and endorsed a file on December 19) It was the Hairstyler (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48470/) Only happened once, have successfully downloaded and endorsed files since then. I downloaded using the manager, and I can't find a record of what server it was. Sorry. I do remember that it used the same server both days. I have not changed my area, and I don't feel like it, since the error only happened once. Apparently answered just by posting.I hope that helps some. Good luck debugging, and happy holidays.
