"Lex" folder in Oblivion directory, what is its purpose?

Seems to have something to do with different languages? Never noticed this folder before.

It seems this is lexicon files used for checking dialogues, after you type them. When I was trying to help my friend to introduce into it (and myself too), I was sometimes prompted about a misstype and CS also offered me some word substitutes. I can't say if they're present in vanilla or after installing a Construction Set, as my install is years old.
