steam initialization failed when loading Midnight Suns

I am a bit of a noob with nexus mods but I can usually get most stuff working and have used this site on many games, however Midnight suns says steam initialization failed when I try to load it, it does it with no mods at all installed.

I have pointed it to the J:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Marvel's Midnight Suns

My version of Vortex is 1.8.4 and my steam is the latest Non beta update (I don't know how to actually find my version other than it is not beta), I have just tried the latest beta and still the same issue.

I am running windows 11.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might need to ask on the extension page for this as it was contributed by a member of the community

I saw that error if I tried to start the game, when steam was NOT running already..... (I don't have steam start with windows.)

That was the first thing I checked, I rebooted and even tried reloading steam.
