Switch
"Tutorial area"? Good lord, you mean there's an entire game world OUTSIDE of the part I'm currently in? Spiffy. :D You see, I never twigged this was a tutorial area, because, as you said earlier, they give you cr@p all when it comes to help. :P Just a few dialogues stating the obvious and not telling you what you really need to know. So, how do I get out?
Dark0ne
You just need to finish the main quests that Sir Tydus or whatever his name gives you. I'm warning you though, say good bye to the grass! ;D
Dilvish
If you explore up that hill right outside the south gate of Ascalon City you'll find a way to finish the gift quest. You need a partner to do the across the wall. One alone can't get through the gate. Ask around in the city. Plenty of players are wanting to do that quest also. You can stay in pre-searing until level 12 if you want. It's fun to explore and beautiful. Owend hasn't seen any grass since the Academy. He's sure seen some awesome ruins and blasted landscapes lately. Regent Valley is now a vast oily sea!

I'm getting a little disappointed with the storyline at the moment, it really is dire. Voice acting is below par and the plot is thin and screwy at best. The only thing holding it up is the gameplay, but really the plotline is what is meant to be setting this game apart from the rest.
Switch
Yes I must admit that was a bit of a spoiler there... :/ Oh well. Anyways, this is bugging me... where do you find the ringmail boots in pre-searing? I've looked almost everywhere, and all the forums I've checked have the wrong information (I guess they changed it since Beta). I tried the guys next to both ranger trainers in Regent Valley but neither give the boots, just legs.
CLB1110
Actually the collector next to the archers in Regeant Valley has both the chain leggings and boots. You can get the cuirass from a collector standing right before the loading point into regeant valley. The gauntlets can be obtained from a collector up on a hill by ashford fields. The helmet cant be found in pre though. Infact im not sure if there even IS a chainmail helm.
Switch
Ok this is weird. Everyone says that. And yet I'm pretty damn sure I checked that very collector (next to the Master ranger guy) and he just had the legs, no boots. Is it possible they changed it with the patch they did yesterday? I checked the other collector in the area next to the other ranger trainer, not a single piece of ringmail there either. I could just have been extraordinarily stupid of course, that's not unheard of. ;) Well anyway, I gave up on anymore pre-searing stuff... went straight to post-searing. And I see what you mean about the distinct lack of grass. Eww. :P
Dark0ne
I've yet to see any grasslands, and I'm level 12 ;D
Slaiv
Should be getting it this week - look out for Slaiv the Merciless [unless someone took that name already... in which case they're going to die.]
Switch
It does get better than this... right? ^^; I seriously doubt I can be bothered to play a game where exploration involves discovering more scorched rock and desolate plains, and getting mobbed by scorpions and gargoyles... :/ Oh well, level 8 and counting :P
