Is anyone else getting increasingly bored of this game as they progress through the game?

I'm E/Me 14 currently in Lion's Arch and I'm bored off my rocker! It's nigh-on impossible to find 6 English speaking people who want to do the same quest within about 2 hours and the quests all follow the same routine.

Disappointed Dark0ne at the moment :*(

Yes! Unfortunately the initial appeal of this game is starting to wear off.

I'm about halfway through level 16 with my W/E and in the depths of the western jungles. Believe me, it doesn't get any better after Lion's Arch really. :( It's still quite entertaining, but nowhere near as fun as it was. For one thing the missions are ridiculously difficult and as you say, the amount of non-english speaking players does seem quite overwhelming.

Not to mention, I'm quite the equipment freak. I love upgrading to new looking armours and weapons and improving my character through them. That's why I love World of Warcraft. This game, however, has very few armour/weapon upgrades. And even if you do find some upgrades, they look the same as the previous pieces! If they're from the same set that is. The only warrior armours I've seen are ringmail, ascalon, wyvern, and gladiator. That's it. There are a few other armours in PvP, but I haven't seen them in RP yet.

Well, I have not been playing Guild Wars again for long enough, but from what I can remember there isn't much change in the course of the play.

The game puts less of a focus on the "RPG" in its name, and accordingly there are less things you can do, less freedom and more repetition. The division into the various districts also appears to me to be not an ideal solution at the moment because you have only contact to a limited amount of people who are actually in the same place as you.

I suppose (although I have not been playing long enough to be certain about this) that the main point of motivation for this game will lie in PvP, which should remain very entertaining due to the nigh on perfect balancing of the various character classes and the countless possible character builds.

However, this does probably require guild membership of some sort and therefore a considerable time investment (although in return you'll probably have it easier to find companions for missions).

Well, I've finally picked it up. I'm currently a level 6 R/M. In a guild with about 7 of my friends, so that's a plus. So far, I'm addicted. Dunno 'bout later, though... If anyone sees a ranger named "Slaiv The Merciless" running around, it's me.

Wow guild wars what can i say i have completed the game now more times than i care to count and think that they could have done better, better in the sence that the game dosnt warrent as much freedom has many would lead you to believe, the games missions are a means in wich to train your charactor are charactors to be able to fight in the pvp areas are in battles against other guilds! fighting other guilds i might add is somthing you can only do if your in a guild that as got a guild hall and even still it is somthing you cant enact unless you are a guild leader are an officer.

guild wars is breathtaking to look at with much emphasis on the female charactors i do believe there is some pervs at arena.net lol, i know the game is free online but there isnt much in what you could cal options when it comes to class are race and having only the opertunity to learn 2 profeshions limits your charactor to what he/she can do, the game like i said looks fantastic and is highly addictive for about 3 months which is a massive life span when it comes to games but after a while even the most hardened veteran gets fed up of doing the same thing again and again.

I think that the lvl cap should be removed and the availability of more attribute points missions to make the most stubern players keep playing i only use guild wars now as a means to talk to ppl in distant lands not my own so to say and find that the only real freedom is the ability to speak ones mind.

Still it is a fantastic game and for me has lasted longer than any other game it even nearly made me a divorcee lol
