showler
Can you show it in the Vortex downloads tab? If you moved the files there from a backup, have you tried using the option to have Vortex identify the source of the file from the filename? It might not be able to tell they are the same file if it doesn't have a record of previously downloading them.

I dont see the option to identify the source of the file from the file name. Where is this option? I expected that Vortex would check the file on the file system before going to internet for the file!!
showler
It's either in the right-click menu or the sidebar that opens when you double click an entry in the "mods" tab. Vortex does check to see if you already have the mod, but I think it needs that information.
germanarg
Is there a way to export and import this download information? (that is not in the zip/7z files!!!) I downloaded and reinstalled the immersive collection several times.... always it finishes with different errors... It would be great if I dont have to RE DOWNLOAD everything one by one!!!. showler
If you're not deleting the files from the downloads directory, then it shouldn't be redownloading them. As long as the files were downloaded from the Nexus in the first place it should recognize them and skip any existing ones.
vortexposer
The ".1" appended to an archive name is what happens when it already exists in the same directory but you chose to add another copy, same as in windows downloads folder when it adds "(1)/(2)" after downloading same archive multiple times. Vortex should recognize this by giving a version drop-down variant with two sharing the same version. Manually delete its extra copy/re-adding base copy with no ".1" or once selected in Vortex, check its archive name field (for extra .1) and then delete version duplicate directly in Vortex UI drop-down menu.
