Changing the volume

Hello again,

after one month of waiting for some information, I would again like to ask how to change volume of weapons via F4Edit? I know I can always increase volume on my speakers or headphones, but in that case everything else is way to loud and unpleasant. Weapons are loud and a bit of extra volume to that would be appreciated.

Can someone help with that?

Thank you in advance

Okay, first off, the noise level of certain weapons is something you'll need to discuss with the providers of those weapons. In the case of vanilla weapons, check for mods. I should add that Bethesda, in its infinitesimal wisdom, set the game engine to track only eight audio channels and grabbed six of them. In anticipation of your wanting to rebalance comparative noise levels, I heavily suggest your using Persistent Volume Controls, it's a mod on the Fallout 4 Nexus.

Good Luck.

First of all, thank you both for your response.

Given that I am not familiar with these matters, I would like to ask you if you could explain it to me in more detail?
As for the original weapon sounds, I'm fine with the volume, but as for the certain mods, I want to increase the overall gunshot sound.

BlazeStryker, you suggest using Persistent Volume Controls. Can you write me a link to the mentioned mod please?

For example: IMI GALIL's sound is ok, but absolutely too low for me. How do I
increase/change this correctly so that I don't destroy the mod and game?

Persistent Volume Sliders is @ https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/58416

Also, Reverb and Ambience Overhaul is @ https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10189 and Radio Reverb Fix is at https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16563

There are patches to further adjust the first reverb mod where modern weapons add-ons are concerned, you'll find the links in its Requirements tab.

With these, you'll be able to adjust relative noise levels without much difficulty.
