Chaosmaker Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 When I went in to play my music from Winamp. This came up. "Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration. Error Code : 88780078." I have no sound what so ever and I don't know my sound card is so I can't reinstall it. Help Please!!!
Stanhead Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 You say you dont know what your sound card is? Hmm. Sorry, but I can't help you until you find out "what your sound card is". Try seeking professional help. If you have an installation CD (for your sound card), the drivers should be on there. Otherwise, type in the name of the card in google or something followed by the word "drivers". That might turn up some results.
Community Manager Dark0ne Posted May 28, 2005 Community Manager Posted May 28, 2005 Try... Right-Click My Computer --> Properties --> Hardware --> Device Manager Then open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers option. List what you have there.
