Slow Download button does nothing

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi all. Since yesterday, Slow Download button seems to do nothing. Tried using 3 browsers, Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Also tried connecting to Wi-Fi and data, as well as on mobile.

Attached is the error on Chrome.

Thank you in advance!

Hi!

I need help please! Since yesterday I can no longer download mods. I don't have premium so I am using "Slow Download" only. But suddenly, it's not working anymore. Whenever I am clicking the button, nothing's happening, can't even open it in another tab because it's not an actual hyperlink. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

This is almost always caused by you using a browser addon that breaks the page. Please see this help page: https://help.nexusmods.com/article/113-troubleshooting-website-issues

A previous version of this error was tracked to an update in the ad-blocker "Ghostery".  So extensions that update their own settings can cause the issue even if you don't change anything yourself.

I don't have any of those.

I double checked all my internet and security settings both for browser and PC, nothing's changed, even tried turning them off, even tried it with a different browser and in incognito/inprivate. Still no luck.

It solved my problem when I used a VPN. Prolly it has something to do with my internet service provider here in my country. This sucks! Everytime I wanna use Nexus I have to open a VPN app.

  • 3 weeks later...

I'm having this exact issue. I followed advice from the comments - disabled every add-on in my browser, used a VPN, and closed/-re-opened my browser just to be thorough; nothing. I've also tried opening the manual download button in a new tab and it throws an error page.

What does the error page say?

Also, depending on what error you're getting... Have you tried a different browser, just to troubleshoot?  Or your usual browser with add-ons temporarily disabled?  Maybe a setting or an add-on in your usual browser is messing it up.

(E.g., I usually use Firefox, but I also have Opera -- with no add-ons -- as a backup in case something won't play nice with my Firefox setup.)
