New beta shows spurious updates

I updated Vortex to beta 3 without any issue and used the Clear Update extension to remove the tag on the affected mods, then checked all my mods for updates again and it worked fine, no false notifications. Thank you very much!

I just bulk selected all Morrowind mods, chose 'ignore update'.  The update indicators disappeared, I did a 'check for updates' and there were only the usual 4 'updates' caused by version numbers of 0.0.0, but the green progress bar told me that 42 updates have been found:)  Is  this meant to happen?

edit: I get this for FNV https://i.imgur.com/NdE751K.png the UIO and DARN are not updates.

and I think the 42 for Morrowind was some hiccup over the number '4' since all the other games have so far reported as many updates as show in the results...

...except of course for ...SkyrimSE and just this game still reports 1 more update than are actually there and displayed in the update results - so if there are no updates the green progress bar says there is 1 update:)  It has been doing this for aquite a few versions.

This isn't resolved for me in beta 3.  Random mods are still appearing as an available update when no actual update exists.  I've tried the whole 'clear update' extension but that doesn't seem to help.  Is the fix for this issue in beta 3 or is it still upcoming?

Please provide examples so we can try and verify the issue. As previously mentioned this is where authors have used non-standard versioning so Vortex struggles to properly understand if there is an update or not.

Some of my examples are in my previous post here.  These mods still show as available update.  If more examples are needed, I can get more examples.

Hey Kilo64,

The beta.3 update should've indeed fixed the incorrect update notifications as I highlight in the below .gif.

I'm pretty certain that the incorrect update notifications on your end may be down to some items hanging in your state. Can you please record a short video or gif which still exhibits the false update notification behaviour to see if I can spot the issue?

Please note that some mod update chains are just broken beyond what Vortex can handle, so some mods will always display the external update link icon; but that's down to the lax versioning requirements when uploading/updating a mod on the website.

Seems I spoke too soon:)  Because i never checked what happens when I restart Vortex!

If I do updates I get this:

If I select all and choose ignore updates I get this:

when I do a check for updates (full) I get this:

when I restart Vortex I get this:

edit: having updated all games and restarted, only SkyrimSE, Oblivion and Fallout3 seem to show what I expect in updates.  F4, FNV, Witcher3 and Morrowind are all seemingly as they were before the beta 3 cam eout.
