RLTheCoolStudios Posted December 1, 2024 Author Posted December 1, 2024 @JimboUK @laclongquan @Pellape and everyone else reading this. I finally decided to completely finish the mod before releasing it, but just so you know, the mod doesn't stop at Hopeville and the Divide it extends to Primm as well! So, it might take a bit more time because I want this mod to be perfect... Thanks You
JimboUK Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 @RLTheCoolStudios I think that's the best way to do it, mods released too early tend to vanish into obscurity before they're finished. 1
RLTheCoolStudios Posted December 1, 2024 Author Posted December 1, 2024 (edited) @JimboUK I agree, I also asked for permission to use several well-known mods, such as Home On The Wastes. Edited December 1, 2024 by RLTheCoolStudios
laclongquan Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Dont try to be too perfect~ That adjective just not fit with modding scene. If it works, barely, it is enough to release... as long as you dont fear pages of bug reports in comments thread. I mean, there's people going around to critize mods simply because it dont have VA, that's how they are itching to criticize anything, for any reason. If you release a perfect mod, do you think they would stop? Nah, VA here it comes.
RLTheCoolStudios Posted December 5, 2024 Author Posted December 5, 2024 (edited) @JimboUK @laclongquan @Pellape and everyone else reading this. (Again) If you look at my profile and come across a Fallout New Vegas mod, it’s not Rebuild Hopeville, it’s a patch for Home On the Wastes. This is because Home On the Wastes is a mod that will be integrated into Rebuild Hopeville, but unfortunately, it needs a patch. So, in order for Rebuild Hopeville to be perfect, I need to release this patch. Thank you ! Edited December 6, 2024 by RLTheCoolStudios 1
Pellape Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 (edited) @RLTheCoolStudios I am playing Skyrim again, for the 4th time as I wanna try AI, like Mantella and Chim. Mantella works great, Chim does not... Well I might try it in the weekend when I am at my GFs flat, where I play FNV. Honestly, I did not think I would enjoy Skyrim again, but I really do. MuteSignals Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 I do love Hopeville would love to see it reclaimed. Maybe the hippies will return in some capacity as the history of conflict between them and the military-industrial complex of pre-war america gave off this almost '60s' vibe. 1
RLTheCoolStudios Posted February 22 Author Posted February 22 (edited) Hey @Pellape @MuteSignals @laclongquan @JimboUK, I'm back after my long absence because I've been busy working on my Roblox and Unreal Engine games... I've decided to take a huge turn by focusing on The Divide and Hopeville. Essentially, Hopeville would serve as the "HQ" of the Mojave, while the rest of The Divide would be overrun by the New California Republic. Why? Well, because of the nuclear missiles—The Divide would be one of the largest weapons complexes belonging to the NCR. I've also decided to add areas that aren't present in the DLC (due to time constraints, since FNV was made in 10 months, as everyone knows)... This would expand the city: the first time you arrive in The Divide, you'd get the classic experience with the lunatics of The Divide, and up above, there's the war with the lunatics plus the Enclave. You'd see the NCR completely exterminating the Enclave in The Divide by blowing up their bunkers, seizing their Vertibirds, and acquiring their technologies, which explains why the NCR comes in force... Good idea? Edited February 22 by RLTheCoolStudios
RLTheCoolStudios Posted February 22 Author Posted February 22 Oh, I also forgot to mention the troop transportation methods: there will be trucks from "Mojave Outpost," as well as vertibirds, and finally trains, because if you look at the image of the city, there's plenty of room for a train line if there isn't one already...
tnu Posted February 22 Posted February 22 This mod idea isn’t just “canon-friendly”—it’s necessary. It fills a gap in the NCR’s story, empowers players to roleplay as the Republic’s finest, and transforms the Mojave into a living testament to their ambition. Build it, and the NCR stans (and even a few Legion sympathizers, secretly) will come. 1
