Can you please give me 3 bullets on the top feedback items that you think have not been acknowledged by the 150 dev posts in this thread?

Wow, a copy and paste response.

But, no. I won't. as I don't see the point. The several issues I have already brought up, that you actually DID respond to, was a resounding "No. We are going to do what we want, regardless of what the users want." Which is pretty much exactly what I expected. At least you folks are consistent.

2. As for the quick search, is the big popup covering most of the screen and working slower considered an improvement over the old quick search bar? It feels like Nexus is trying to have its own "search engine" that is capable of looking up mods and other elements across the whole website. Is that the intended functionality here? What's wrong with having quick search relate only to the game landing page it was used from? Wouldn't that speed up the search process and give users more consistent results?

Quick search can be scoped from the game page you are searching from, give it a try some time.

In response to @HadToRegister

1. You can only see 3 full news tiles and not the full next row. This will not be changed.

2. Grid and list view. In at least 50 of your posts, you have mentioned this. It's already been said multiple times, this is something we are exploring. This means I can't say how it will look or when it might come back, because it has not been decided. I hope this is clear?

3. Can you share a screenshot where you click "SEARCH ALL OUR GAMES". Just trying to understand what you are doing here.

WHY isn't number 1 being changed? It looks absolutely ridiculous and is a serious waste of space. Why all the unnecessary scrolling? Is this site getting paid “By the mile” now?
It's NEWS, why not have all the articles available to see on one screen? Now it's three MASSIVE TILES then just the TOP HALF of the next row, and then you have to scroll down to Discover that there are two more news stories after that.

An information part of a website should have all the information EASILY ACCESSIBLE, instead of being on huge goofy tiles that only lets you fully see THREE of the eight articles at any given time. I fail to understand the thinking behind that decision. It's insane.

It would be like making a Spreadsheet in EXCEL, but changing the size of all the cells on the spreadsheet so they're the size of Postcards.
Turn that spreadsheet in to your Boss during a big budget meeting and see how fast you're laughed out of the meeting and fired.

To address 3.

After you clicked on the “View all 'n' Games” button, you used to go to a screen with ALL the games, with SMALL tiles, and there was a Search Bar, if you started typing in the name of the game, the page would adapt and change with what you typed in (Just like the old (and superior quick search)) used to do.

INSTEAD, you are brought to yet another worthless pop-up screen and have to type in the name of the game AND click APPLY.

RECAP: Old way: 1. click “View all x Games", 2. star typing in the name of the game, results show up instantly, 3. click on game.

New “and “Efficient” way: 1. Click “View all x games”, 2. useless Search Window pops up, obfuscating the page you're on. 3. Type in the name of the game, 4. CLICK ON APPLY.

One more step added to all that, and that's not even considering all the checkboxes.

I'm not sure who has the “Pop-up window and adding extra clicks” fetish, but they should probably get treated for that, because the site just got much slower and inefficient to use.

If you can't clearly communicate your top 3 feedback items, why are you still in this conversation?

It's a simple request to list the main things you don't like about this update, which is the purpose of this thread

@HadToRegister

Hit "/"

Type "Sky" or whatever game you want

Click on the game, or if desired, scope it to just games:

So now, I have to take my hand off the mouse in order to hit /

Before, all I had to do was start typing the name of the game, without a useless pop-up window blocking the entire site.

This change has just made everything less efficient, and I can tell by your responses, that you're just “champing at the bit” attempting to lock the thread, because you're not even pretending to play “Good cop” anymore and caring about hearing our opinions.

If you having to take your hand off the mouse before anyway having to type the game name, is in your top 3 issues with this release, I think this is a compromise we and hopefully you are willing to accept.

Sorry if my comment seems dismissive. With any change there will be things that impact your normal way of working. I'm really hoping that you can at least give this a few tries and see how it goes, and meet us somewhere in the middle and potentially the benefit of the doubt that as a modding site, whose entire purpose is to serve modders, that we have your best interests at heart. Can you give it a shot?

Taking my hand off the mouse to type in the name of a game is a GIVEN.
Having to take my hand off the mouse to open a search, is an entirely different thing, but I appreciate the False Equivalency.

I HAVE "Clearly communicated" my top three issues, and of the two that you addressed, one was a flat out "NO!", and the other was "We will look at that." Which likely means the same thing.

Sure, it's a simple request, and several folks have complied with that request, yet they STILL haven't gotten an answer, either that, or they get some boilerplate response on just why Nexus ISN'T going to do it. It was my understanding that this entire premise of this thread was to solicit feedback on the 'new' look.... and you are getting it, in spades, and it is 99.99% NEGATIVE, yet the ONLY changes I have seen actually made, are very minor, and the major complaints folks have been going on about for over 100 pages, we get told that some tiny minority of users used that feature, so we aren't going to bother with it. Or, the request gets some non-committal acknowledgement, and is never brought up by staff again.... Even though numerous subsequent users have brought it up. (like, being able to search for mods uploaded/update after a specific date....)

As I see it, the 'purpose' of this thread, is a place for users to blow off steam about how much they dislike the new interface, and for staff to make minor concessions to give the appearance of actually giving a s#*! what we think. The major issues folks talk about, are either ignored, or just denied. This isn't a 'feedback' thread at all. It is nexus wanting to give the appearance of caring what folks think. Guess that didn't work out so well, now did it?

It would be great if you could do the service of laying out these top 3 issues so we can clearly see them, address them and give a clear response. That would be really useful.
