I was just looking at a mod and decided to track it. Couldn't find the "Track" button. After half a minute staring at the place where it used to be, I saw it. Sure, it's there, but it is black. It doesn't look like a button! It looks no different than the word "Download:" on the same line which is NOT a button. Please give buttons a coloured background.

Reminds me that I recently had the same (or rather opposite) problem with the "Track" button on a user profile. It looks too bright in comparison to other buttons (well, not exactly buttons, views/endorsements info cards), as if I'm already tracking that profile or something.

Good day developers, just want to to say the new design is good overall, but on suggestion:

In the old version, I'd like to browse popular mods in certain time period, like from 2022 to now, so see if I missed certain good mod; but now in the new version, there's only 7/14/28 days and 1 year, leaving no rooms to check as I wish. Sincerely hope this function comes back.

Another one actually not from the beta, but since it's UI improvement, I'd wish there would be some improvements: The editing page when uploading/maintaining mods.

Firstly, the edior for mod description always gives some trouble to me, either the font size or font style goes wild, or the unintended extra line comes up. Just wonder if there's any improvement can be done on this;

Secondly, the layout is not quite consistent with what user/modder could see in actual mod page, like the change log is categorized under document, and permission has it's own page, while in actual mod pages, they are all with the mod description. Some adjustment in this part would make it easier for modders to maintain the pages.

Just started playing with Beta of the website. Some feedback:

  • Great to see the site getting updated and getting support
  • I'm not sold on the new look, but I'm willing to try it for a bit
  • The dynamic backround needs to be darkened or the menus need to have a dark backgroud to improve visibility. I've attached an example where I can barely read the side menu.
  • Love that there's more control over tags and categories in the left side menu, way better than the drop menu from before
  • I'd like more granualar control over the time window like we had. Ideally we can pick specific dates, but I like looking back 3 or 6 months behind for example.
  • Overall, I would like the site to offer more optional control over search and sorting rather than less

I'll keep using the new layout and report back findings. Thanks.

Do you have a browser addon/extension named Dark Reader installed?

It is not supposed to look like it does in your screenshot. There was someone who had the same issue a page or two back in this thread. They said it was caused by the Dark Reader browser addon.

i love you can search for mods for multiple games, now, please give me exclude powers, i want to search to find to new games to play based on what mods they have, but i want to exclude the top 30 games by number of mods, or at least exclude games by bethesda

I'm no web dev, just a simple human being with two functionning eyeballs but also a professional photographer so here's my two cents on the visual aspect of this beta : it HURTS the eyes. The lighter, more yellowish grey theme is much more easier on the eyes. The overall darker and bluer theme is harsh. That's no rocket science here. I think we'll always adapt to new/modified features and UI in the end, our brains work this way, but how our eyes cope with light and colors isn't so flexible. Please consider going back to something lighter and "warmer".

While the aesthetic of the style is nice, I believe getting rid of the tabs Popular, recent is a mistake and is the reason i inmmediatly switched back to "classic". Whenever I open nexus the first thing I do is check the most popular mods and the most recent ones.

I have a request concerning mod browsing for mod authors only, please add:

  • bug reports on one single page (open, closed, etc.), a simple table which one can sort to quickly track down bugs especially open bugs globally, across all mod pages per game

I'm gonna be honest. I switched to it. Used it for about 5 minutes.

Realized it's everything I hate in modern web design and a big reason I never pushed harder into Front End development...

Like... it's nice for mobile. The reactive movement is great. Just... I don't see that as useful when you're usually playing on a PC.

But changing stuff just for the sake of changing it is... a net negative imo.

I do have that extension installed. However it seems a fixed was patched. All works now.
