Darklocq
I agree with the general consensus that there's too much wasted space (in multiple places). At bare minimum, there needs to be a preferences setting for a more compact view. And it should be on by default. Especially in these days of people moving more and more to cell phones, tablets, light-weight laptops, and other small-screen devices - you cannot depend on the average visitor having an ultrawide monitor, or even a "traditional" 16x9 one; many devices are going to have a small, and especially narrow, viewport. Screen space is "high-value real estate" regardless.

And this is exactly the reason why the page looks so wasteful on a computer. It's been designed for a phone.

Is this a fact or your interpretation of it? If the former, where can I find a statement confirming that?

No, this is my opinion. I look at the page on a computer, then I look at it on a phone and realise that it looks far better on the phone.

Yeah, I kinda agree that making the design compatible with as many devices as possible probably played a role in some of the decisions being made. riotinprogress
Updated All Mods and All Games listing pages: Doesn't scale with browser window expansion past a certain point. There is a set amount of columns being used for All Games (7) and All Mods (5). It scales properly when shrinking the browser window. Near the upper-right sorting options, we need an option to toggle between different layout styles. Larger or Normal-sized titles, List view, maybe a detailed List view? You get my point. Games Homepage: It scales decently when shrinking the browser window, but there is so much wasted space. I use a 34" ultrawide, but I have zones set up. So my browser window is roughly around the size it would be on a 27". Honestly, the whole page needs a redesign. We don't need 4-5 rows for Mods, Media, News items, etc. I have no reason to want to go to a games homepage, and I figure most people head strictly to the mod section. Give us more stuff! Trending YouTube videos about the game we're viewing. A list of websites that sell the game. Show if they're on sale and the discounted amount. Show some forum posts from Nexus, Steam, Reddit ,etc. I'm sure there's more to add also. Games like Starfield or Cyberpunk, there could be a section that features hardware associated with the game. Controllers, Headsets, Keyboards, etc. Actually, you should consult with Juxtopposed. She knows.

Exactly, and that is why everyone shouldn't go on and on about this issue beating it to death. Nexus is going to make accommodations for phone usage. Nexus is no longer just a pc website. The site looks so much better on phone now, compared to a few yrs ago when it was barely tolerable on the phone. Nexus obviously wants as many mediums as possible. This is a business after all.
