kvnchrist
If you had the chance would you rather visit the future at any time you wished to or the past? You could move around as much as you wished and be effected by nothing within thst world and would not be able to effect anything. You could also understand any language and read anything printed there, but you could not bring any wealth back but you could bring information back. JimboUK
A distant future, I wouldn't want to see my own. We know a lot about the past but the future is an unknown, that said wouldn't bringing back information change that future? future mistakes could be avoided, future inventions invented now and so on. Vagrant0
Future just wouldn't work. Either going there would end up changing it constantly, making us second guess every single decision which is made, or reality would be an asshole about it and just lock in whatever future you saw as being inevitable (since it was observed). Going into the past however would let us better understand those periods of time which exist before people could record it, or where records might have been lost or altered by whatever dominant power was conquering at those times. Setting history right, reclaiming knowledge lost from the fall of Rome, or just creating historical reenactments, dramas, ect without being affected by nostalgia or pride. HeyYou
Future. I would get the winning lottery numbers for the next several weeks, come back, and retire a very wealthy man.

rizon72
The distant past, see how things like the pyramids were built? What did the Colossus look like? How was Machu Picchu built? Just to name a few questions. So many questions, so little time. (Just so I don't end up on the Titanic or Hindenburg.)
Thor.
Scientists are trying to find evidence of time travel in the past, using the internet and Social networks to find traces of time travel, so far they are not so successful. If it was me, it would be future, because science and the things to come are just out of reach, especially when it comes to space travel and stuff. Edited January 30, 2014 by Thor. (and in fact, it has been.......)
