Console vrs PC

I am refering to Counter Strike Source, And Vac is not cheat proof at all. If anyone doubts me we can set up a test match on a secured server (empty, as not to hack on legit players) I will use hacks and own you completely (the hacks will actually) as they make the game so easy its retarded.

Fine, challenge accepted.

you just aren't very good at the game?
with in my opinion is just as much flaming as insulting somones ablility to comprehend.

How convenient that you left off the "maybe" in that sentence. It's a perfectly legitimate question, 90% of the time someone accuses people of hacking, the accuser is just bad at the game. I've never used hacks in an online game, but I've been accused plenty of times. A lot of people just can't accept that they aren't the best at a game, so they have to save their ego by deciding the person who beat them was cheating.

If u want to set up a match instant message me on msn

my msn name is Akrid

address [email protected]

Where playing; Counter Strike Source. You can select the Vac secured server at the time we are ready, ensure its empty. My in game name will be, Akrid. This is not a competitive match, tho even with hacks a little skill is still needed (very little). This is just a demonstration.

Well, his hacks did work even with the anti-cheat protection enabled. See screenshot for proof. Should be 10-1, I got a kill on him while he was typing.

But... I haven't been owned that badly in years, not since I first started playing cs (and fps in general). And I mean that literally, complete domination like he did NEVER happens on servers I play on. So, either:

1) These hacks are extremely rare, and the overwhelming majority of players are honest. Cheating is a non-issue, because you see it so rarely.

2) The players using them are horrible without their hacks, and only through aimbots/wallhacks/etc can they score a single kill. And with the hacks, they are average at best. So cheating doesn't matter, because 99% of the cheaters can't even beat a decent player, and gameplay isn't affected much.

3) Like Akrid suggested, most hackers limit their hack use to avoid getting caught. Of course at that point, what difference does it make? If you use your hacks for one extra kill every 10 rounds, that's hardly making a difference to everyone else's gameplay.

Whichever case it is, hacks just aren't an issue to most players. 99% of the time, you can play honestly and get a fair game without it being ruined by cheaters.

A fair opinion, but I disagree. thiers always that one guy that has a 10 - 1 score on the servers I play on. Hackers are not invincible, The one time he killed me in that match was with a shotgun, I find that to be the #1 best anti hacker weapon because it can compare to the dmg a machine gun does when it hit you with will every shot (no recoil hack). Had we been playing on a larger server with many players I would have to be carful to avoid mowwing down entire groups in seconds that would give away that I'm hacking, in doing that I would leave my self open to being killed here and there but still retain a good score.

After using the hacks in sevral other earlier test I was able to see certain behavoirs in other players that strongly indicated they are using the same or simular hack.

If u play CSS a lot you know it can be very random, somtimes the result of spraying your gun is a headshot. Such "lucky" shots can seem idenical to a hacking. But heres a dead give away, a skilled player can only perform with intense aim and reaction for a short period before they get tired (mentaly), after that they start to play more relaxed. Somtimes not consentrating actully helps but that depends how tired you are. Somonbody that constanly plays good and holds a 10-1 score or even a 10-3 adverage aganst skilled players is most likley cheating, or they have cyborgnetic inplants that give them super human skills. Nobody gets a great score evrey round form constant luck.

I asked (not accused) a player with a 50-4 score if they where using any hacks, they became very defensive and turned on a speed hack ran over and killed my whole team. My instincts where right. at first he didnt seem like a hackor but he kept gettign insane shots and always knew you where comming. (speed hacks are non-arguable becuase they are so obvious).

But really this debate was won when Dark0ne said

There's a very simple way to combat this problem -- play on the same servers, and make sure they have admins on at all times. Normally mature clan servers are the best option, since most clan members will have admin priviledges.

So I rest my argument THAT WAS "consoles are better". Its just that video games are like drugs and if I stop using one I need to replace it with somthing else or I go into convulsions.

So I rest my argument that consoles are better.

You rest it on what grounds? That multiplayer online console gaming isn't played a tenth as much as PC online gaming and therefore is better?

I don't think I've even seen one valid point as to why online console gaming is better than PC gaming in this argument.

A fair opinion, but I disagree. thiers always that one guy that has a 10 - 1 score on the servers I play on.

Odd, because the best I've seen done consistently is 5-1, usually with a camping AWPer. I've seen 10-1 scores as a result of a lucky round, but they usually don't last.

The one time he killed me in that match was with a shotgun, I find that to be the #1 best anti hacker weapon because it can compare to the dmg a machine gun does when it hit you with will every shot (no recoil hack).

Actually that was pistol sniping you at your spawn point and a ton of luck. The shotgun kills on the earlier map were only because you had no armor, so the shotgun is 1 shot kill. On a real server, it would probably take two shots... not enough to stop auto aim from getting a headshot.

Had we been playing on a larger server with many players I would have to be carful to avoid mowwing down entire groups in seconds that would give away that I'm hacking, in doing that I would leave my self open to being killed here and there but still retain a good score.

At which point, why bother? If you can't use the hacks to their full potential, you're just another average player. Except you're putting too much thought into how to avoid getting caught instead of playing the game.

Somonbody that constanly plays good and holds a 10-1 score or even a 10-3 adverage aganst skilled players is most likley cheating, or they have cyborgnetic inplants that give them super human skills. Nobody gets a great score evrey round form constant luck.

10-3 isn't necessarily cheating. On a good day, I'll hold that score on random servers for a pretty long time. And that's the highest I've ever seen... 10-1 is seen occasionally, but 50-5 is almost unheard of.

So I rest my argument that consoles are better. Its just that video games are like drugs and if I stop using one I need to replace it with somthing else or I go into convusions.

Rest what argument? How does what you quoted prove the superiority of consoles? It's common sense that some servers are better than others, for various reasons besides cheating. And I expect consoles are the same, if you play on the wrong servers you'll have a bad game.

"I rest my argument THAT consoles are better", not "I rest my argument, consols are better" Its kind a tricky sentence now that I look at it.

Allow me to rephrase "I rest my argument that was "consoles are better" because I no longer think they are."

As for why bother cheating argument, I think because after you do it for a while you can get really good scores and nobody suspects you. We could set up a second test, it would require unsuspecting players, but done in the intrest of exposing hacking. We join a near full server and ill get top score on my team without anyone knowing I hack. This would proof hacks can be effiecently used to get better scores on crowded servers. Now as to why people want better scores? Because thier are a lot of morons out there that feel it makes them special even tho they hack.

Also heres a link to the //Myg0t Website//, they openly hack on CSS. be carefull downloading anything from them tho they have a history of giving people virus's

thats quite a conspiracy theory Akrid i find it hard to believe that soo many people would hack since in my opinion it takes the fun out the game. What makes counter-strike fun is the fact that no matter how good you are you can be killed by anyone whether they are a noob or a pro.

thats quite a conspiracy theory Akrid i find it hard to believe that soo many people would hack since in my opinion it takes the fun out the game. What makes counter-strike fun is the fact that no matter how good you are you can be killed by anyone whether they are a noob or a pro.

Why cheat? Many reasons, and I agree it takes the fun out of the game, however not everyone agrees with us. 90% of people surveyed when asked if they cheat say they do not. Therefore it seems like not many people at all hack. But they do it only takes one hacker to turn the tides of a match and make a team that should win lose instead. A major reason for hacking not being exposed is because everytime somone speaks out about it everyone else just stays in denial. Everytiem somone blurts the word "hack" thiers twenty people lined up to say "nobodys hacking" But they dont know.

Heres a list of reasons why people hack. I really wish you guys would read the links I posted it would enlighten you a lot to this.

Those who cheat in order to keep up

These cheaters tend to be of low to middling skill, usually use publicly available hacks, and usually restrict themselves to public servers. They are not always experienced cheaters and will often give themselves away by moving in a way that shows their inexperience and lack of knowledge about the game despite appearing to be very skilled. Other inexperienced cheaters may give themselves away by using the cheat in a blatant fashion. It is believed by some that when the game went retail and new players started playing the game they clashed with veteran gamers who had more experience of Counter-Strike and other FPS games and that rather than dealing with being outclassed by the more experienced players by practicing, some of these new players resorting to cheating.

Those that cheat for the ego boost, stats or to be seen to be the top of the scoreboard

These cheaters tend to be above average skill level, unless facing people who play and win at Counter-Strike competitively, and feel the need to be at the top of the scoreboard at any cost. Also the advantages of having just a wallhack enables the above average skilled player to make clever tactical decisions to either engage in or avoid specific situations they would not have been aware of without a wallhack, as well as giving them the ability to shoot people the instant they come around the corner as opposed to the >100ms reaction time that is the theorectical limit of human reflexes. These types of players are the most insidious as they will actively engage in hiding their actual cheat usage by playing like a very good player for the most part, in the way they move around the map and when/where they look. Some people who do not cheat on LAN or when playing competitively, simply cheat on public servers to keep up appearences and to avoid having to maintain the sort of concentration level required to get a high kill/death ratio as well as avoid being random'ed. eg. Doing everything right and coming around a corner on an 18 player server, and running into all 9 players of the opposition team, who by rights should never have been there in the first place, is an example of randomness that competitive players like to avoid on public servers.

Those who cheat to disrupt

Disruptive cheaters are normally blatant in their approach, they will usually use their cheats in an obvious manner or readily admit that they

are cheating with the sole aim of making other players' gaming experience miserable. These unruly cheaters sometimes band together in order to make their disruption more effective, one example of such a group is myg0t.

Those who cheat in competitions

Counter-Strike is often played in competitive leagues and tournaments and over the last few years has been one of the most popular electronic sports. However, like all sport there is an element of cheating and when it is hard to verify cheating it becomes more common than usual. Those who cheat in competition sometimes do it to disrupt but others do it in order to win. Those who use it to win naturally try to avoid being caught leading to a less conspicuous style of cheating. Private cheats are therefore incredibly attractive to these cheaters for whom getting caught would be the end (or at least an extreme inconvenience). Although many online leagues are widely accepted to contain cheaters, most competitive gamers still claim it would be impossible or highly unlikely to cheat in a professional LAN environment.

Those whose competition is cheating

Not to be confused with cheating in mainstream competition, there is known to be a small community of cheaters, who compete against other cheaters, the quality of the cheat being what decides the outcome of the match. Participants in this are usually cheat creators themselves who use the games to test out their own private hacks.
